Torghast has received several updates in the most recent Shadowlands update. Difficulties have been removed, there's a new death cap, and the starting zone has been completely revamped. Monks and Hunters are now eligible to queue for the Tower of the Damned, and although Death Knight anima powers were also added, the class is not yet enabled.

New Starting Hub
All players now start The new starting zone is a rest area labeled Floor 0 filled with portals to take players to various quest areas and cell blocks. It's unclear whether these portals are all just for testing, but the area itself is a nice introductory hub.
Difficulty Changes: New Death Count
There are
no more difficulties
when queuing for Torghast, as they were confirmed to only be for testing purposes. Instead everyone now starts in the aforementioned Floor 0 rest area, before choosing a location to move to.
The amount of
deaths per floor
are now deaths
per run
has also changed along with the new difficulty changes. The Tarrasque also now spawns after the next death following the limit.
Solo: 3 deaths
2 Players: 8 deaths
3 Players: 11 deaths
4 Players: 13 deaths
5 Players: 15 deaths
Additionally we have learned that there are new threats presented within Torghast, including negative effects and even
time limits
on the upper floors, though the timer is not present on the lower ones. Presumably, this is done in order to add more difficulty after collecting a number of Anima Powers while progressing through the activity, as it was quite easy to trivialize the difficulty by stacking defensive powers to the point of invincibility.
Monk and Hunters now Available
Monks and Hunter
s have anima powers added in today's build, and are now eligible to queue for Torghast. Death Knights also had anima powers added, but are the last class not yet eligible to queue for the activity.
Additionally, each class has a different Covenant ability active today, rotating daily. For example, Shaman have Necrolord abilities today and will have Kryian tomorrow, while Warrior has Venthyr today and will have Night Fae tomorrow.
