Uldir, Battle for Azeroth's first raid, recently opened for testing on the beta. In preparation for the upcoming raid,
FatbossTV
created early previews of all the bosses. Closer to the launch of BFA,
Fatboss
will be creating in-depth video guides, as well as written raid strategy guides published on Wowhead.
This article is a
beta
preview. You can

In today's Uldir preview, Fatboss is highlighting Taloc -- the first boss of Uldir.
Taloc is equipped with his
Mazza Ferrata Sanguinante
and uses blood magic to attempt to defeat his opponents. In the first and last phase, he tries to overwhelm the room with
Tempesta del Sangue
while trying to use his
Mazza Ferrata Sanguinante
to smash his opponents to pieces.
The most interesting part of the fight is the transition phase, where Taloc will
Disattivazione
and release his fuel in the form of adds. That's when you realize that the platform you're on is actually an elevator that you can
fall off
the side of! Once the elevator hits the bottom, the transition phase is over and he starts his Phase 1 mechanics all over again.
Fatboss' Thoughts
Towards the end of the video, Fatboss goes through their thoughts on the fight. Here is a brief summary but you should check out their full thoughts.
Fatboss thinks the first room is a good size, so that you want to stack
Tempesta del Sangue
close together so you can clear it with his
Mazza Ferrata Sanguinante
, but the second room is so large that there's no way you run out of room.
There's some lengthy downtime at some points especially for healers, but it is a first boss and you can't expect it to be overly complex as it is supposed to be easy and welcome people to the instance.
Raggio Difensivo di Uldir
is listed in the Dungeon Journal but never showed up.
The fight goes from pretty difficult in the beginning to very difficult on the elevator, then nothing at the end.
Because the fight partially takes place on an elevator, some things weren't working properly like pets.
In the end it is a really solid boss.
