How lucrative should Mythic+ Gear be compared to raid?
While Mythic+ you can do a lot of runs and after a long enough time you can have a good chance to get a socket on your bracers that is really valuable and that is kind of like a source to look for the "perfect" item. Compared to raid, which is here is your one run. They're heard the feedback and have tried to create unique Azerite Armor and trinkets or items with unique effects. They do understand that there should be compelling reasons to step into a raid because there's something that you are really excited about.
When they introduced Mythic+, it created another source of gear. It's something that they're still looking at looking to improve and evolve. In 8.3, with the introduction of Corrupted Items, they're wondering how that will change the way people gear.
Additionally, in 8.3, they're planning on experimenting with higher item level loot on the final boss once again. It does take a lot of effort to do Mythic+ raiding and they want to make sure that people feel rewarded for doing that. Generally Mythic+ raiders have the best gear, but with the introduction of Mythic+, the delta has shrunk.
How will duplicate items being addressed in Shadowlands?
The weekly Mythic+ chest should be a feels good moment. Maybe there'll be a cloak, but there should also be other things for you to choose from but it would be cool to have a currency option (or something similar) where you could say, I don't want this item but I want this large chunk of currency so that you always feel good about that. It may not be exactly what you want but it's better than an item being completely useless.
They could also say, maybe if you do an activity in a raid, you get an extra option from that weekly chest. You'd still only get one item, but it's all about giving players the extra choices.
Why wasn't a new class added in Shadowlands?
When a new class is added, it's usually based around what story Blizzard is trying to tell. For Shadowlands, nothing really jumped out as needing a new class. Instead they're focusing a lot of time on everyone can be a Death Knight and new player customizations.
