In contrast to modern WoW, Blizzard has decided to remove the ability to earn
Insane in the Membrane
in Cataclysm Classic.
Update (April 11th):
Blizzard has removed the mention about Insane in the Membrane from the Original Post. This likely means the addition of the same was a mistake and the achievement will follow the same route as it did in Modern WoW, being available to be obtained, but with different requirements.
The post below hasn't been updated for that and the original quote was left as well.
This revelation happened in their
recent Cataclysm Classic blog
, where they dedicated a whole header to discussing the removal of the achievement with the Cataclysm launch. Note that this leaves only two faires remaining to finish your
Darkmoon Faire
reputation.
For reference, you can still earn
Insane in the Membrane
in Modern WoW, albeit the achievement has received changes to its criteria when compared to Wrath's version, which includes the removal of the
Shen'dralar
reputation requirement and increasing the requirement with
Bloodsail Buccaneers
to Exalted instead of Honored.

With the release of Cataclysm Classic, the Insane in the Membrane Feat of Strength will no longer be available.
