Best place to farm is at 57,42 from Elder Shadowhorn Stag in Ashenvale.

The recipe that uses this, is no longer capable of being purchased. The NPC that used to sell the recipe, has been removed from the game. This is now vendor trash, unless Blizz brings back the Vendor-Tron 1000 in Desolace. Or provides a seperate recipe for it.

This is (or was anyway), by far, the best to farm +6 stam buffs for my lvl 20's. The Wild Bucks in Ashenvale (almost impossible to deplete) often drop 2 steaks apiece and each steak makes 2 +6 buffs. Do the math.

Now that Tasty Lion Steak's are level 25, thank god I got this recipe for all my toons before the vendor went poof.

I was wandering around Hillsbrad killing stags when this dropped. Hoping to find a recipe somewhere close by, I looked up the only recipe that uses this meat in game, to find it has been removed from the game.

It is vendor trash now folks.

Damn, and I liked deer jerky.

For some reason I just got a "You receive item: Stag Meat" in a pop up window, like it was something really special

Interesting bug and pretty funny considering this item has been vendor trash since Cataclysm.
