Dealing with Xal'atath's Bargains as a Fury Warrior

Fury Warriors have very few tools to deal with Dungeon affixes or help their group with them beyond what is already brought in the typical multitarget builds, as both Storm Bolt and Shockwave are very easy to talent into now. Intimidating Shout is a potential extra source of crowd control, though that talent point is often better spent on Rumbling Earth unless regularly running into issues with diminishing returns on stuns.

While this sounds troublesome, the wide variety of stuns, interrupts, and displacement effects makes it fairly easy to handle. The reduced cooldown from Rumbling Earth is particularly useful to allow Shockwave to be used for both the mechanic and regularly available against enemies.

There's no particular trick here, simply kill the mob as quickly as possible to gain its Dark Prayer buff!

There is absolutely nothing Warriors can do here other than heal themselves, though cooldowns should not be used to do so except in the most dire of circumstances. A simple Impending Victory should be enough.

The priority here is collecting Shattered Essence as quickly as possible, which a combination of Charge, Leap, or potentially even Intervene can help get to them quicker and stack up Void Essence.

Fury Warrior Viability In Mythic+

Fury Warriors are very specialized, able to deal effective single or multitarget damage, but not without sacrificing one or the other. This means that while they can be strong, though less versatile in Mythic+ than other specializations, they need to choose whether to bring single target damage talents for priority targets and bosses or AoE talents for trash.

Fury Warrior Mythic+ Utility

Battle Shout: Melee/Hunter Buff

Increases the damage output of all melee classes and Hunters by 5%.

Rallying Cry: Group Cooldown

One of the few group defensive cooldowns brought by a DPS specialization, Rally is very good for raid situations where it can be layered with other cooldowns to create a bigger buffer for 20 players, but does not scale with smaller group sizes, making it much less impactful in dungeon content.

Pummel: Interrupt

Interrupts are one of the most important aspects of handling many mobs and boss mechanics in Mythic+, and Warriors have no opportunity cost and a low cooldown, though keep in mind that Pummel cannot be used during Bladestorm.

Storm Bolt & Shockwave: Stuns

Easier to talent than ever before, and very useful due to their low cooldowns and not requiring too much investment to talent into, though beware that stunning the same target too frequently will result in diminishing returns, so be sure to coordinate with the rest of the group.

Spell Reflection: Defensive & Pseudo-Interrupt

An alternative to interrupting - many spells can be reflected, causing them to affect the enemy instead. Those abilities which cannot be reflected will have their damage instead reduced, allowing it to remain a powerful defensive cooldown in a wide variety of situations. Due to the low cooldown, it should be used regularly whenever there's incoming magic damage.

Intimidating Shout: Pseudo-Interrupt / Limited Crowd Control

The long cooldown and potential for fleeing enemies to chain into each other makes it more of an emergency button than a common tool, particularly with how easy Rumbling Earth is to take, but it does provide an additional layer of crowd control when desired.

Piercing Howl and Crackling Thunder: AoE Slow

Very useful for kiting, due to both being a higher than average amount of movement speed reduction and affecting multiple targets in a moderate range. Not necessary in most groups due to the already high prevalence of multitarget slows though, and Hamstring is always available as a baseline single-target alternative. Crackling Thunder does not provide as much of a slow, but can be used rotationally, saving a GCD and damage, though only will use it.

Berserker Rage & Berserker Shout: Fear Breaker

Although rarely a regular mechanic, Berserker Rage is occasionally useful for the occasional anti-disorient and fear effect, helping maintain uptime and avoid extra damage. Unfortunately, the Shout variant has several limitations which keep it from being highly prized: requiring an extra talent point, having a very limited range which often misses casters, and only being used reactively after the fear effect has been applied rather than pre-emptively immuning it. As a result, it is rarely used.

What's the reason that champions brand isn't recommended? It seems to synergize rather well with Fresh Meat, The Stone Ward, and Impending Victory to keep yourself topped. Is the damage output simply not on par?

For Incinerator Arkolath it says

> Best Anima Power: Raging Battle-Axe damage scales well and provides consistent returns against trash and bosses alike, while Inferno can be slightly better in dungeons with lots of quick chain pulls.

I'm assuming "Inferno" is incorrect here.

Its all situational, Champion's brand is far better than raging battle axe ( its doesnt scale that well and is physical dmg so it gets mitigated by enemies armor and only works at 30% hp when enemies die faster) signet of bolstering is a good choice on paper but most dungeons dont have enought pulls to keep it stacked and every new stack dont refresh duration so is lacking, Volcanic plummage is usually better than champion's brand but in HoA for example it can only be used for the last 20% of the dungeon trash mobs so its a wrong choice over Champion's brand on that dungeon(NW is a different case, you can only use it for the last part of the dung but that part is where the hardest enemies are found so Plummage is recommended), also on ToP Brand may be better due to lack of pulls and some enemies not getting interrupted by it and depending of route.

Agree on Vial, but Regenerative Fungus can be a good choice for certain dungeons and bosses if aggro is no problem, Handbook of Uncivil Etiquette is the only dps gain but is heavy situational and the dmg gain is .. meh

So far as I've been playing dungs, I think the best option is the fungus that regens your hp, as it's the most consistant one, combine that with absorb shield and 1x +stat and it's just really nice combo for getting more and more mastery. Raging Battle-Axe is ok for bosses on tyranical, but it's just ~4% dps increase, if you can do quick chain pulls or get enough mobs on a boss than you can go with bolstering, but as of me it's been useless.

Spell Reflection can reduce general magic damage, but there are no important interactions in this encounter.

When doing this fight and he goes into his right hand/left hand/slam in front maneuver, if you spell reflect, it will deflect the first maneuver you use it on. Try and time it for the front slam to maintain boss uptime.

10.0.2: Both of the Talent Tree Links take you to the WoWhead front page. Also, the filter-by-patch dropdown needs to have options added for patch 10 and up.

The affix cheat sheet lists Stormbolt and Intimidating Shout for Afflicted. The Afflicted mobs are not interruptible or CCable so those two abilities don't help.
