From what I've gathered so far in regards to scrapping/shredding items at the Shred-Master Mk1:

Weapons, Shields, rings, and Plate gear produce random amounts of ore, with potential of gems.

Mail gear produces scales and bone

Leather gear produces skins of varying quality.

Cloth gear produces cloth of varying quality.

All gear has the potential of producing Expulsom, with the exception of trinkets which seem to be guaranteed to produce ONLY Expulsom.

It can also return Durable Flux from scrapping plate items. It also seems to be a pretty low return rate 21 green's and 3 blues only returned me 30 Monelite ore, 4 Expulsom, and 12 Durable Flux.

So, today I did scrap total of 960 green item made with Leather Working craft, Here what I got :

1359 x Scintécaille = 1.415% chance/scrap
475 x Os taché de sang = 0.494% chance/scrap
149 x Expulsom = 0.155% chance/scrap

Hope sharing this informations would help some...

I have been struggling to level cooking because of the requirements of aromatic fish oil. I have a guildie friend who is at a high level, never had to squeeze a fish and claims she got all her oil thru scrapping? I have yet to get one vial from anything. Has anyone else? I haven't read anything that suggests this.

I found it confusing that this has a different name for Alliance. If you happened to land on this description from a google search, this may be helpful:

For Alliance, this is called the Scrap-O-Matic 1000, and the location of this is in Tradewinds Market on Boralus - in the back near all of the trainers.

Hello All, a little usful info I hope. After a week of farming, I just went to the trouble of collecting one and a half bags of purples and blues to put through the shredder. Shredder is at bottom left corner of the Dazar'alor pyramid map, terrace of the crafters, coords 44, 39. All loots gathered in Argus and Broken Isles. When I got to the shredder, every item was greyed out. I made a pair of Warhide Bindings (Broken Isles pattern). Nope, cant shred. I made a pair of Shimmerscale Armgaurds (Zalduzar pattern) - yes, can shred. So Blizz have implemented level controls on what you can or can not "disenchant" by using the shredder. Now I have a bag full of pretty junk going to a vendor and a foul taste in my mouth. Also found - the portal is dropping in and out, but the boat from Kalimdor works, its just rather slow. Also, the purchase page for Shadowlands malfunctions, it sits at the wait wheel for half an hour when I try to go to payment details (then the page collapses and closes)- anyone had this and overcome it? Blizz are saying my bank is not cooperating when monthly payments are already working fine , even after I sent them a screen grab of their own payment reciept. Cough. Yes. (Fools). Hope this helps someone. M

Does thing thing have a cooldown on it? Seems like after scrapping a bit it just doesn't allow more.

As of 10.1.5 this is removed

Edit: It's just as exbountyhunter says below:

The Shred-Master Mk1 at Stonefist Watch in Tiragarde Sound is still available (for now). If it does not appear for you then you need to buy Rapport de reconnaissance : guet Poing-de-Pierre and complete the mission it gives at the BFA mission table.
