Weekly Season 2 Mythic+ Affix Update - Massive Incorporeal and Afflicted Spawn Rate Nerfs

Mythic+ testing is available on the Patch 10.1 PTR once again and Incorporeal and Afflicted have received some massive spawn rate nerfs.
New Spawn Rate Logic
Previously, the
Affliction
and
Incorporel
spawns seemed similar to the
Explosif
spawn logic, that is, random spawns that scaled directly with the number of mobs in the pull. Now, it seems that
Affliction
and
Incorporel
may have had their spawn logic completely changed this week to spawn logic that seems to be more similar to
Sismique
. This is the best theory that we have come up with based on the tests we've run so far, but it could be slightly different or change again in the future.
What was
Sismique
's spawn logic?
Sismique
could only trigger on 20 second intervals, but it wasn't required to trigger on every interval. This meant that Quaking could have a cooldown of 20, 40, or 60 seconds. It was semi-random, but predictable enough that you could plan for a bad overlap in advance because you knew it
could
happen.
Affliction
and
Incorporel
seem to have spawn logic similar to Quaking, but since they affixes only spawn in combat, it looks like the timer pauses when outside of combat. In addition, sometimes it seems to just spawn only 1 mob instead of 2 to deal with .
Afflicted
Affliction
now seems to be spawning on
30 second intervals
, but isn't required to spawn every interval. It's unclear how many Afflicted mobs will spawn with the options seemingly being 0, 1 or 2 each interval. This is a significant spawn rate nerf from the previous build.
Here is one of the testing pulls and you can see Afflicted spawn at 0:37, 1:07, 2:07, 2:37, but not at 1:37.
Incorporeal
Incorporel
now seems to be spawning on
45 second intervals
, but isn't required to spawn every interval. It's unclear how many Incorporeal mobs spawn with the options being 0, 1 or 2 each interval which is also a large spawn rate decrease from the previous build of 20 seconds.
This seems much more fair, allowing most Hard CCs which have a cooldown (e.g.
Emprisonnement
) to be available even on the shortest interval spawns. However, it doesn't help DKs or Warriors which still will struggle with this affix and have to rely on their group.
Daily Dungeon Tuning
With Mythic+ testing now live, there's also some tuning hotfixes for dungeons.
Magmatusk becomes strengthened while standing in lava, increasing all damage inflicted by 50%25%.
Effect #1 Effect #1 Apply Aura: Mod Damage Done %:
Value: 5025
Magmatusk sprays a cone of lava at a player, inflicting 2216214775 Fire damage.
Effect #2 School Damage
Value: 64
Time is ripped away from the target, inflicting 184699234 Arcane damage every 1 sec and reducing movement speed by 35% for 9 sec. Upon removal, triggers a Time Eruption.
Effect #1 Effect #2 Apply Aura: Periodic Damage: Modifies Damage/Healing Done
Value: 52.5
