Antique Bronze Bullion Purchases Can't Be Socketed - Another Bug in Season 4

As players spend their first round of
Lingot de bronze antique
this week, another bug has been revealed, with several reports that purchased items cannot be socketed using the
Œil de l’Éveil
from the Great Vault!
I purchased Seal of Diurna’s Chosen today with my 2 Antique Bronze Bullions. In my vault I had no good options so I took the tokens for the gem sockets. I received my 2 Eye of Awakening gem upgrade tokens. I used one on 525 crafted wrist just fine. The second I attempted to use on the Seal of Diurna’s Chosen. I was unable to do so. The item is grayed out and I get a warning saying “This item cannot be modified.”
Specifically, many players are trying to purchase and socket
Sceau de l’élu de Diurna
. One of the only offensive special effect rings in Dragonflight, it is best in slot for almost everyone this season, even for classes that don't normally deal fire damage, using things like Fyr'alath, Shadowflame-Tempered armor patch, Cataclysmic Signet Brand, and Augury of the Primal Flame instead.
Attempting to use the
Œil de l’Éveil
on
Sceau de l’élu de Diurna
returns an error.
Unfortunately, Season 4 has been marred by several bugs beyond just this one, from
low level rewards
, to
awarding the wrong type of crests
,
issues with downgrading crests
,
residual damage and healing scaling in raid
, and players are still
unable to upgrade Nas'zuro and Fyr'alath
. Whether standalone issues or due to Season 4's overlap with Plunderstorm, Timerunning, The War Within Alpha, and Classic Cataclysm, this mid-patch "victory lap" has had a very rocky start for Blizzard and players alike.
