Interestingly this item the Polarity Bomb "Throws a bomb that detonates on impact to deal (Rank 2 - 21102, Rank 3 - 24592) Fire damage and implants Positively Charged shrapnel on enemies caught in the blast for 8 sec." However the Ez-Thro Polarity Bomb that anybody can use implants Negatively Charged Shrapnel on enemies.

This isn't a mistake by Blizzard, both types of bombs leave a Positive and Negative debuff on enemies respectively for their 8 second duration.

I'm unsure what happens when you mix them by having two or more people throw the different types of bombs, but if I ever learned anything from Thaddius and Raszageth it can lead to some (ahem) explosive results....

I have tried throwing both bombs at the same target in a party and nothing happened other than the target losing it's negative or positive buff, also tried throwing the negative at one target and the posive at another close target to see if they would interact, but alas, nothing happened.

Better late than never, but it seems that the Tinker: Polarity Amplifier if added to equipment can give "YOU" a positive or negative charge as a buff that periodically changes, then when you use the bombs they interact accordingly. Opposite polarity = roots enemy (and you) when you use your equipment, same polarity = knockback enemy. As far as I can tell it's useful as a way to pull mobs. As a caster, creating distance, and rooting the enemy both serve as effective results.
