Anyone that's seen this drop past 4.2?

I found a nice little place to farm the ogres in Burning Steppes. There's a cave under Dreadmaul Rock where both Brutes and Mages spawn. Unfortunately they share spawn places so Mages can spawn instead of Brutes. The up side to this place is that the respawn timer is _very_ fast, you'll never run out of mobs.

Been farming here for the last 3 days but still haven't seen this recipe.

I have killed maybe 2000 brutes? but no volcanic leggings:( does still drop?

I can after a brief note from a gm confirm this still drops. Ive had 4500+ loots sofar.

After grinding for this recipe on and off for three days with no luck. And the comments on here being a little obscure, I was getting a little worried as to whether it's still in the game or not. So, I contacted a GM. This was my reply:

And with that in mind I had a closer look into this case for you and indeed that pattern do still drops and ingame so no worries it is still there, pretty low on the drop chance but still ingame

I farmed this with 9 chars in my multiboxing setup (4x2 and 1 char as a isolated "technically third third group" further away to trigger the instant respawn).
After over 11.000 (!) Kills and lootactions I can safely assume and claim that this pattern does not drop anymore. :(
I tracked all this with the WoWhead Client and uploaded all data and hope that the kills stats get updated soon.

I just got this pattern off a Firegut Brute today, so the item does still definitely drop!

I think that some of the patterns that were removed from the game and then brought back do not show in the crafter log. Another example is the Living pieces (such as Living Leggings, Living Breastplate).

I too can confirm, that patch 10.1.7 has put this back in the game. While farming Firegut Brutes, I got two to drop within 2 minutes. There's a cave at Dreadmaul Rock that has a number of Firegut Brutes inside, there's a bunch outside as well. Farm this area if you're hunting this down. I don't think people know it's back mostly and you SHOULD be able to get a good amount for this still.
