Icecrown Citadel Raid Buff Up to 30%
With today's maintenance the zone wide buff for has finally reached a staggering
30%
bonus to damage, healing, and health (see
Brado Guerreiro de Grito Infernal
and
Força de Wrynn
).
As with every increase we've seen in the past this should give some guilds still struggling with encounters that little extra needed push and guilds who are experienced will get an easier time. It should also be noted this is the final increase to the buff so don't expect another 5% to be tacked on again in a month!
As always, you can turn this buff off at anytime if you feel like trying the encounter in its most difficult form.

Cataclysm: Guild "Perks"
Our developers here at Wowhead have been hard at work getting data up on the
Cataclysm
website and they have pushed a new section for you all to check out.
Guild Perks
are now listed in their own
category
.
If you don't already know what Guild Perks are here is a brief explanation. When you create a new guild (or Cataclysm happens and you're in one) you are able to level up the guild much like you level your player character. As your guild levels up you gain new perks, 25 in all, some are simple like
Via Expressa
or more awesome like
.
We have the entire list of Guild Perks with descriptions and the levels you'll earn them at after the break!

July 16 Twitter #BlizzChat Developer Chat Transcript
The
#BlizzChat
developer chat on Twitter just ended, and we have a recap of all the questions that were answered below.
Q:
Will all mage specs be competitive in PvP & PvE?
A:
Want them to all be almost equal, want players to play as Frost because they like Frost.
Q:
Mastery no longer in Talent Pane how does it work?
A:
You'll gain a new ability from class train at 75 for the Mastery stat that will allow the mastery rating to affect the bonus.
Q:
Druid forms off the cooldown like Warrior Stances?
A:
Not at this time.
Q:
Ret pallies using spell plate?
A:
This would require a lot of weird solutions and could make Ret too powerful of a healer.
Q:
Account-wide achievements?
A:
Something we want to do but technically challenging. No promises.
Q:
Healer talents to regen mana by doing damage?
A:
Intentional, healers should now be able to do "some" damage when not healing in Cataclysm.
Q:
More class

Deepholm and Western Plaguelands Open For Testing!
According to posts on the beta forums by Valnoth, both
Geodomo
and
Terras Pestilentas Ocidentais
are open for testing!
Deepholm is one of the four Elemental Planes, home of the earth elementals, and the location where the big evil man Deathwing himself was once banished to. Here you will find a lot of rock based creatures with a very earthy feel and the crashed remains of the Horde Gunship, Orgrim's Hammer.
The official feedback thread for the Deepholm is
here
.
While the Western Plaguelands hasn't changed much terrain-wise, you will note a lot of the areas have been reclaimed by the Horde, Alliance or the Argent Dawn. The Horde and Alliance are fighting what is left of the scourge in Andorhal, and the Argent Dawn have finally returned to Hearthglen and removed the Scarlet Crusade.
The official feedback thread for the Western Plaguelands is

Cataclysm Preview: Twilight Highlands
Blizzard has just posted their official preview of one of Cataclysm's new zones: the
Planalto do Crepúsculo
!
Located past Grim Batol to the east of the Wetlands, the Twilight Highlands is home to the Twilight's Hammer. The Dragonmaw clan now cling to the edges of the Highlands, while the Wildhammer Dwarves dwell in forested outposts throughout the land. Throughout the zone you will encounter the destructive nature of the elements, and some hints at the Old Gods...

Blizzard Announce Changes To Talents, Specialization and Mastery
Zarhym just posted an announcement on the official forums with Blizzard's change in design with how talents and mastery will be changing for an upcoming
Cataclysm
beta build.
One of the major changes mentioned is that instead of putting talents where ever you want starting at level 10 you are asked what would would like your
primary tree
to be. After picking your spec you will only be allowed to put talents into that tree until 31 points are spent.
Another change (this is a
BIG
one) is you will only gain talent points every
other
level. This means by level 85 you will only have
41 talent points
to spend.
The final change is Mastery will no longer be affected by how many talent points you have spent in the tree but instead be given as flat percentages. The percentages can be increased by the mastery stat on items which you will be able to make use of when you learn the new Mastery skill around level 75.
So a quick rundown on the changes:
At level 10,
you will be asked to specialize into a single talent tree
.
You can only spend talent points in th

Patch 3.3.5 Released In North America
Patch 3.3.5
has finally been released in North America! It is important to note other regions will not be receiving this patch this week but will get it next week.
Included in this new patch is the much awaited
RealID
feature and the release of the brand new raid instance
Santuário Rubi
.
Unfortunately the Ruby Sanctum will not be available for another week in North America as to not give them an unfair advantage with the new content. Beyond those huge new features Blizzard has revamped the entire chat system.

Anniversary Interview: J. Allen Brack
Blizzard has released a new interview on their Anniversary mini-site, this time with
J. Allen Brack
who currently is Production Director at Blizzard.
In this interview Brack speaks about many subjects, such as originally things were worked on one thing at a time now the teams are capable of balancing out several different projects at once. They then go on to touch on some of his fondest memories of early-World of Warcraft subjects being revisited with Cataclysm.
It's a great read, so head on over to the official Anniversary mini-site and check it out.

Blizzard has just posted an official preview of one of Cataclysm's new 5 player dungeons...

Now occupied by the Twilight's Hammer, brave players will venture forth into the fortress to stop the nefarious plots of the fortress' new master...
