"Varimthrias Dialogue"
Cant recall how many times I've read this in the past month or two now...
Meh, Horde is going to be hit by villian bat again. Gaurantee it. Blizzard teased almost every patch with boss dialogs -early patchs with Helya, corrupted hearth boss, Gul'dan, later with Varimathras. So much tease should be for a reason. Sad thing is Horde faction almost completely gone but yet Blizzard acting like there are no problems with it. Heck they announced Saurfang as an orc leader from twitter. Horde bias bois. I hope they won't kill another Warchief with new expansion. If leaks true and they are going to add void(high elf) elves to Alliance, R.I.P Horde anyway. They killed Horde story wise in this 5-6 years(starting with Garrosh-Cataclysm) and this time for population base. The last hit before Horde completely disappear.Ugh, I am becoming a salt mine! I guess I need a break from all of this WoW stuff for a while.
Love reading this stuff!Any chance we will get a Void Hunter or Dark Ranger class added?
Amazing. You guys are the real Lorewalker Cho.
Calling it now. New void/old god expac is gonna either have the Windrunners as a boss OR Sylvanas + Jaina. Reasoning behind this is that Sylvanas is already bordering crazy, Turalyon might die -> Alleria emotionally loses control over the void, and w.e will happen to Vereesa. And of course, Jaina is a dreadlord.
Good stuff! I think a lot of the information data-mined, and a great deal of the speculation we have seen shared over the last several months really shows the vast potential for storytelling that remains in the Warcraft universe. I think a lot of the stuff suggested involving the Old Gods, Jaina, the Windrunner Sisters, Kul'tiras, as well as the Light and the Void stuff all alludes to an exciting future for World of Warcraft.I can't help but pity those who seek to criticize those who speculate. It's really quite disappointing to see people being negative towards the people who are actually getting excited about storytelling. I just don't understand the appeal for someone to go out of their way to be abrasive over something as wholesome as that. Like... people are sharing this stuff because it is exciting, and it makes them think, be imaginative, and fantasize about what future adventures may bring... It's not their fault that you can't relate to that. I'm sure there's something you can relate to somewhere else though.
Alliance is due for a "Villain" from their "good-guy" line-up, Horde is due for a "Hero" from their "bad-guy" line-up, and neither specifically has to end up alive afterwards either. Sylvanas will end up changed somehow through her Sisters.
My question to you Allies is: Are there any OTHER Horde races you want to appropriate? FFS -- why would the HM Tauren, OR Nightborne have any reason whatsoever to join either faction? They have no part in the tussle between Horde and Alliance and, in fact, received assistance from BOTH which should have brought about positive feelings for each side. They have absolutely ZERO buy in to the Eastern Kingdoms / Kalimdor kerfuffle. If anything, I can better imagine them doing the "hurry the houseguests to the door" routine once everything's concluded on Blarghus. "Bye, have a great life..." Light Draenei are somewhat different in that they have "kin" in the Alliance. That one's a bit grayer. Still, I don't see them wanting to return from war to war against people who helped them defeat the Legion once and for all. And in case you Allies have forgotten -- easy to do since Horde's had no story at all this expansion -- Horde was 1/2 the fighting force on Blarghus too.Sure, they have a buy in to the future of Azeroth, but why would they bother joining a faction? I'd rather see Blizzard add a third, neutral faction with Light Draenei, Void Elves, Highmountain Tauren and Nightborne in it than see any of them join either of the current factions.
Shadow is nothign but lies! The Light sees all as truth! Alleria, use the Light! USE THE LIGHT!
The three sisters or the Triple Goddess are a very ancient theme. In Greek Mythology there are the Fates, Clotho who spins the thread of life, Lachesis who draws that thread out and Atropos who cut the thread at the end of a life. There is also a Greek triple goddess in the persons of Demeter, the goddess of the earth, her daughter, Persephone, the goddess of the grain, and Persephone's Underworld avatar, Proserpine, the pig headed consort of Hades. In Norse Mythology you have the parallel of the Fates, the Norns, Urd, Verdande and Skuld. Their names respectively mean What Once Was, What Is Coming Into Being and What Shall Be. Essentially the Triple Goddess represents the three stages of a woman's life, the virgin girl, the mother and the crone or grandmother. I would recommend Robert Graves' study of the Triple Goddess, The White Goddess, to those who want to learn more of their mythology.I see the Windrunner sisters in that context. Sylvanus already represents the dead or, as we have it in WoW, the Undead Forsaken. Alleria's connection to The Void could pull her toward a darkness from which there is no rising back to anything like life while Vareesa seems to remain the most connected to human life. Might the names of the Norns describe The Void (What Once Was) Alleria, the present state of being (What Is Coming Into Being) Vareesa, and The Undead (What Shall Be) Sylvanus? If the spinners of the thread of WoW see the amazing power that the sisters could represent united we might see in them the ultimate source of power for defeating the Old Gods and their minions. I rather hope that the men (of which I am one) who are writing the future expansion(s) of WoW (of which I am NOT one) come to see the immense power of sisterhood and find a positive way to unite the Windrunner sisters for the benefit of both the Horde and Alliance.
The Alliance will always be heroes!
