In Asia at least, this is an anticipated mobile game. Look forward to playing it
That battle pass made me puke. srsly.
lol, so much "agree with us or gtfo" 'positive' posts in here.Just as you're free to like it, others are free to not, and be upset about the fact that they're NOT in the group of people who play games on their phone / now cannot enjoy the latest chapter of Diablo.IF they had made this a PC AND Mobile game, sure. IF they had adapted D3 for mobile, sure. If they were making it so that moving forward all Diablo games would have a Mobile & PC release (And consoles, since D3 was console as well), go ahead. The pain point is that smart phones cost more than a console, and in some instances even more than a basic gaming computer, and buying one "Just for DI" is exceptionally poor economics. A lot of these people upset are quite possibly long time Diablo fans, who love the world / story etc, and feel like they're getting the middle finger from Blizzard unless they fork out for a mobile phone / tablet that'll run this smoothly. They have cause to be angry. You can stick your fingers and your ears and humm your "ode to Blizzard" if you want to, but they have every right to be upset with the decision to make this exclusive mobile content. I don't think ANY of them actually expect Blizzard to change their mind about it, but they're simply expressing their frustrations, just as your expressing your enjoyment. Don't expect them to self-censor unless you plan on doing the same.Myself. I've played the franchise since OG Diablo, but I never got overly engaged in the story, and despite the fact I'm running one of the latest smart phones, won't bother installing this, as because when I do have time to game, I'm at home with my PC / Consoles, and if I have the option between looking at a TV / Computer screen to play a game and a mobile phone screen... well it's a simple choice. I'm not overly upset, but I think it was a stupid business decision, and automatically lost them a share of the market they would otherwise of had.I look forward to playing D4 when it drops, but I'm not holding my breath on Dev time considering how long it took them to finish D3.
Well no performance test aka didnt test it on at least 5 android phones packing Snapdragon from 600/700/800 chipset series....i find review very poorly done, without that, sorry.
Don't whine, guys and gals. It's yet another game and if you can't play it on your mobile device yet still curious what this brings to the table - emulate on BlueStacks or similar. If you have a spare iPad Pro in your toilet to kill some time there - go for it. I just don't understand such approach of you people - you have everything in this world that is so comfortable, there's an abundance of games to chose from and you still complain. If you can't find yourself, stop playing or play old titles that you enjoyed as a kid. It's like some of you never grew up and still try to look for the same emotions while you were enjoying D1 or D2. It's not going to happen as it's simple psychology. It's like with the scent that brings you some good or bad memories no matter what. Imagine that Bli$$ard releases 1:1 remake of Diablo 2 on Diablo 3 engine. What would people say? That they are lazy, the can't think of anything new, that it's just the same yadda yadda. I have found that I don't enjoy the same franchise as much as I did in the beginning. It doesn't matter that first instance of some title was successfull. It doesn't matter and sometimes it shouldn't have a remake/reboot or a sequel for that matter. I don't go back to D2 anymore, even though it's my childhood memory and I remember it warmly. I don't want to, though as it's behind me and I'm pretty sure it's not the same feeling anymore. We grow up, our tastes change, we are not the same people anymore. All in all - just enjoy what you like NOW. Past is a past, just remember it and don't compare to what it is now as it somehow can be very frustrating. Peace!
I played the alpha on my HUAWEI P30 Pro on high settings and it was great. No issues. Leveled a barbarian, wizard and dh to 45 and got to paragon 35. Was sad to see the alpha finish.
Not sure how to feel about this.On one hand, I'm glad you had a great time playing the technical alpha on your iPad, on the other I'm not so sure it will run on my 3-year-old smartphone. Thanks for pointing out that the premium part of the battle pass can (and probably will if we're being honnest) devolve into yet another controversy à la hearthstone.Hopefully wowhead and other sites will write articles about the story and how they bridged the gap between Diablo II & III so those that don't want to play it don't have to :)Also kudos to the moderation team, you are the unsung heroes behind one of the only commenting sections that is actually fine to read.
Played a Demon Hunter to 40 or so on my Note 10+ without issue, didn't check what performance settings were but it didn't seem to lag at all, aware it's a high end phone but still a year old gives me hope that people with older non-flagship phones will be able to give it a red hot go.
You do realise this is not developed by Blizz, right?
I don't typically play too many games on my phone, but I am excited to give this a try once it goes live.I'm a little bummed out that there's no controller support though. Hopefully that's something that changes between now and the end of testing.
