I'm not actually a big Sethrak fan. They're pretty crazy.
we need rezan alive again
Jaina was sent to Dalaran because it is the equivalent of going to Harvard. Studying at Dalaran is not a prerequisite for becoming a mage for any race, otherwise you would have to explain how Orcs, Trolls, Goblins, and Pandaren learned how to use the arcane without Dalaran... or any human pre-WotLK for that matter. It was only ever a 'big deal' for Jaina because she was the political equivalent of a princess, and Daelin's only daughter. Any father who had lost a child would have some sort of objection to their only daughter being sent away to a foreign country. The argument that the tidesages are the equivalents of priests or shaman is also irrelevant. Just because their main religion focuses around the ocean, doesn't mean every person of that race is directly associated with it. That's like saying draenei shouldn't be mages because all of their faith is put in the Light. Nevermind the potential Kul Tirans who aren't tidesages but still trained to be mages for personal or professional reasons. Kul Tirans were heavily involved in the First and Second War, I doubt they wouldn't have trained their own set of mages seeing as how they were a huge deciding factor in those conflicts.Either way, even IF there were absolutely zero Kul Tiran mages before, if pandaren have already begun training monks then there is no reason to believe Jaina wouldn't be training more Kul Tirans to become mages.Honestly, the one class in the game that can have a water elemental and Kul Tirans can't roll one.
Still wondering why kultirans have no mages ... :S
I want to play as a Sethrak!
"What if we take it all the way and the losing side has to delete their character?"That would be an intriguing (and ultimately disastrous) experiment!
Very interesting details to learn from this interview
I want more lore of Sethrak :D
Guess Alex Afrasiabi wasn't as alone as he thought :P
Im glad for the changes, Kul'tirans humans CAN be mages now. Well, the most powerful mage alive is a Kul'Tiran, players should have the option to follow her steps to greatness... or to open old Dalaran portals near the summoning closet.
Kul tiran mage discussions was funny as they DID add them later LUL
Very interesting how they walked back on KT Mages, given the responses in this interview. "Accidentally left off the page" Sure.
