The new orc and tauren priest NPCs seen in previous 10.0.5 builds have been removed. These now-absent tauren and orc priests appeared to be part of the Church of the Holy Light rather than express Light-themed beliefs more in keeping with their lore.
We
previously reported on the NPCs representing the newer class and race combinations being added in 10.0.5
. While we loved some additions, like the new space-pirate-themed draenei rogues and the tauren rogue trainer who claims to have always been around since the start of the game, some NPCs - particularly the priests - felt unfinished. With names like Brother Lighthoof and Sister Brighttusk, these NPCs came across as rather generic - more like Alliance human priests with Horde skins than uniquely orc and tauren.
In the
most recent patch 10.0.5 build
, these NPCs have been entirely removed - though the patch notes state they will return in a future update. Hopefully, this means that when we next see these priests, their design will be more in keeping with orc and tauren lore.
CREATURES AND NPCS
The newly trained Draenei, Lightforged Draenei,
Orc
, Tauren, and Highmountain Tauren that now specialize in rogue, mage, and
priest
classes are now located in major capital cities (Stormwind and Orgrimmar) and in their racial cities (Thunder Bluff and the Exodar). Additionally, a Tauren rogue can be found in the Rogue class hall.
Orc, Tauren, and Highmountain Tauren priest NPCs have been removed from 10.0.5, but will make their appearances in a future update.
