Leveling Tips for Necromancer in Diablo Immortal presents key points and important tips for leveling for the Necromancer class, a priest of Rathma who dedicates his/her life to preserve the balance. The Necromancer accomplishes this by summoning an army of the dead or commanding corpses to explode to punish evil forces that dare to endanger the balance. While the leveling experience is quite similar for most classes, there are some factors for the Necromancer class that you'll want to keep in mind as you go.
Best Necromancer Gameplay Tips in Diablo Immortal
Leveling up a Necromancer early from Level 1-49 may be complex, because not all of the skills listed in the Recommended Builds by Blizzard for the Army of the dead are available without the Level 50 skill: , and early on you won't have all the Legendary Items unlocked at the Essence Transfer vendor or equipped, and obviously, the required Legendary Gems are not always at your reach. The Necromancer is therefore forced to explore the build, mixed with a optional or utility skill. Here are some tips on how to think about the Necromancer class, their abilities, and overall build.
The build without modifiers from Legendary Items is easy to assemble early on with and unlocked at Level 1; and unlocked at Level 3. You will be stuck with these three until Level 8, when you unlock the fourth slot with Bone Spike.
Later on, you can replace Bone Spike with Wraith at Level 15 which allows you to disengage when in trouble, making you immune to attacks for 2 seconds. is unlocked at Level 20, which adds a steady source of DPS to create corpses for your , and a second barrier of minions between you and the monsters. Either of these two skills may be useful to you with the build until becomes available at Level 50.
Use to aggro enemies and to increase your Skeletal Warriors' attack speed.
Get into melee range while they are slowed down or frozen and slash with to generate a Corpse
Follow up with another to continue damaging and killing more mobs, generating more corpses.
While Command Skeleton and/or are on cooldown, spam your primary attack to build up Ultimate charge and to finish off nearly dying mobs.
Without the Legendary Items to modify the Skeletal Warrior to explode or the one that adds Chill to , leveling a Necromancer can be complex. You must avoid direct damage to the Necromancer as best as you can until your cooldowns refresh, which means kite if needed.
Generate Corpses non-stop
. Continue using and your primary attack to generate corpses, then use .
They came from... behind
. At level 8, you will have . If mobs aggro from behind, you can always stun them with while you rearrange your position to avoid damage from minions in the front and those aggroing behind you in the open world. Always stay alert to what may damage the Necromancer for lack of an army, and lack of defensive skills early in the leveling experience.
is your friend
. At Level 28, you unlock . This is not only a great defensive ability which blocks enemy projectiles, it is great because when the expires, it generates a corpse on the ground for . But if you get ahold of an (torso) legendary item you can modify the into 5 Skeletal Soldiers that charge a short distance and knock back enemies. When those 5 skeletal soldiers die, they generate 5 corpses on the ground.
Necessary Evil
. not only generates a corpse for your rotation, it also does AOE damage to a large group of enemies. But it feels like a wasted skill slot in the sense that there is absolutely no Legendary Item that modifies .
Chill
. If you get ahold of (shoulders), you are up for some fun. now inflicts a stacking Chill which can Freeze enemies when stacked. This is the legendary item that makes the Chain Reaction build so powerful as it interacts with some Legendary Gems to do massive bonus damage.
Necromancer Leveling in Diablo Immortal
The Necromancer is one of the most played classes in Diablo Immortal after Crusader. It is difficult to master, fun to play, and in the right build conditions this class is high in survivability and AOE damage.
The following chart illustrates the major types of play for this class and how it ranks on a scale from 1 to 4 stars:

Leveling in Diablo Immortal can be as simple as following the storyline and prompts where they take you, but efficient leveling is not as straightforward. Using the Codex to build Battle Points toward ranking your Battle Pass is by far the quickest way to level, as every time you rank up your Battle Pass, you'll get near a level's worth of experience. We will discuss this further under Best Leveling Content for Necromancers.

Best Leveling Content for Necromancers
You should always look at your Battle Pass Featured Activity for the day, as this will give you double Battle Points. The fastest way to level is to level up your Battle Pass, since that gives a huge boost of experience whenever you rank that up.
Bestiary:
As a master of AOE damage, the Necromancer can kill large groups in the open world quickly, making it ideal to farm Monstrous Essence orbs for the Horadric Altar (Bestiary). You can complete the Bestiary 3 times per day. Each turn in rewards 40 Battle Points. Therefore, the daily limit from this activity is 120 Battle Points. Not bad considering you gain a new Battle Pass rank every 180 Battle Points.
Challenge Rifts
are fun but provide little to no experience. They have no Battle Point values in the Codex. Leave this feature until later if leveling is a priority.
Elder Rifts
modified with Rare Crests and/or Legendary Crests reward Legendary Gems. Elder Rifts can be so easy and quick with a Necromancer blocking enemy ranged attacks, and destroying large groups of monsters with AOE. Elder Rifts are not big in the Experience farming department, but if you need Legendary Gems or Runes to craft them -- they also provide some XP for your Leveling. Just don't overdo them unless you got crests.
Dungeon
content tends to be high value for Battle Points. Even when it isn't a Featured Activity that brings in double points, Dungeons are 15-20 Battle Points per run. Check your Battle Pass Activities for the best values of the day. The best dungeons to farm leveling experience is Temple of Namari and the Mad King's Breach.

Best Leveling Skills for Necromancers
Skills unlock over time, but thankfully some of your strongest skills unlock early. You can put together a viable AoE farming build early on.
For a Chain Reaction PvE build (based on ), you acquire the base skills early at Level 1: and . unlocks at Level 3.
Early in the game it is a simple rotation of Command Skeleton on a group of monsters for the initial aggro opener, followed by , then . Continue with primary attack while those three skills are on cooldown. This is basically your base Skills that you will have for most of your leveling experience.
The fourth skill slot can be the trickier one to choose:
You get at Level 8 for stun and damage. unlocks at Level 15, as a fade or disengage mechanic of sorts where you become immune for 2 seconds and your movement speed increases by 50%.
unlocks at Level 20 adding an extra minion on the battlefield with ranged damage.
unlocks at Level 28. Again, combined with the this is a must-have to block the enemy from pathing into the Necromancer, to block enemy projectiles, and most importantly -- combined with becomes an extra source of generate corpse with 5 corpses for your . The modifiers of these two Legendary Items create a chain reaction of Corpse Explosions that continuously applies Chill and Freeze to monsters.
Personally, I ignore at Level 38, because it competes with the Corpse resources of .
at Level 41 gives you the first direct defensive skill protecting you and your minions from melee and ranged attacks. This one can be useful in dungeons and Elder Rifts. Especially, on PvE raids and PvP.
can be very useful after Level 44 in all activities as it adds loads of AOE damage to your kit, and reduces enemy vision. The (legs) legendary item causes enemies to explode upon death, which sounds like adding to the theme if it generates more corpses by killing low-health monsters standing nearby those the explodes. Combined with (Legs), can decrease the enemy attack damage and movement speed -- which also helps with your freeze and slow effect with the (shoulder).
at Level 47, I'd generally ignore it because it is a channeled skill -- affecting your rotation, and there is only one legendary item that modifies it -- (main hand). You need your main hand increasing damage by 10% via , instead.
at level 50 can be useful in a build because it can taunt enemies while you are busy attacking with , using Skeletons as AOE grenades, and casting .
Overall, I suggest with in Dungeons, Elder Rifts, Hidden Lairs, and even PvP to generate 5 extra corpses on the ground. For open world leveling, I suggest using in the fourth Skill slot merely because it gives the Necromancer mobility to move from point A to point B -- moving from group of mob to the next, and to pull 3+ groups together for big explosions. In that sense, using the fourth Skill slot as a utility that puts the Necromancer up to par with how quickly a Crusader can farm the open world with their Draw and Quarter (horse) skill, or move quickly from objective to objective during each zone's Story questline.

Best Leveling Gear and Gems for Necromancers
All classes face the same issue when it comes to leveling, gearing, and equipment: you take what you can get and accept upgrades as they become available. You may end up in a position where you want to go one way with your spec but your Legendary Gear is giving you bonuses for other abilities. While you're leveling, it never hurts to try out new abilities. Legendary Powers tend to add so much extra power that it's worth playing a side build for a little while to take advantage of the power. And even if you decide to wear an item and not use its Legendary Power, they tend to be so much better in other ways that it's still worth equipping them.
There are some resources you can get on both free-to-play and paid tracks that will give you some important choices:
Do Elder Rifts every time you have Crests or Legendary Crests -- but don't use more than 1 Crest at a time.
As you're leveling, use only one Crest/Legendary Crest per run, even if you have more to invest. This is because doing Elder Rifts also awards Battle Points -- 8 per run on normal days, 16 per run when it's that day's Featured Activity. You get the same number of Battle Points whether you do the Rift with one Crest or three Crests, so save your crests, do more runs, and get more Battle Points.
Equip any upgraded Legendaries and Legendary Gems, even when they aren't "right" for your build.
When you retire these, be sure to remove the Essence for future use. As the game changes, so might the new hot ability, so give yourself as many options down the road as you can.
Leveling your Battle Pass to Rank 10 rewards a Mystery Legendary Offhand
. This is expecially good because it gives you your choice from among 6 Offhand Legendaries for your character. For , decreases time required to raise new skeletal champions by 30% -- which helps you to do more explosions and corpses early in your leveling experience if you get ahold of (helm). Pick carefully based on what you think will be a core build for you going forward. Even if you find a different one later, you can always remove the Essence for new Legendary offhand items to Inherit. You will also get some Legendary Gems both on the free track and the Empowered track.
Buy the weekly Legendary Item through the Hilts vendor.
Upgrade your armor and Gems as soon as you can.
Gear ranks transfer from one item to another with no cost to you. If you rank up a few Legendary Gems you don't intend to keep, you will get all your Gem Power back when you Salvage them.

Endgame Necromancer Builds in Diablo Immortal
Once you've leveled your Necromancer to 60, the fun is just beginning. You might still be in the process of acquiring your Recommended Build's legendary gems and maybe a few Legendary Items; but by now you probably have the core skills and legendary items to support your Chain Reaction () build or your The General (Army of the Dead) build. Now comes the part of the game where you will need to begin farming Set pieces out of dungeons, refining your Legendary Item, and Gem choices, and setting up your endgame build.
Endgame, provides additional activities such as Raids, Zone Events, and Side Quests to upgrade your Legendary Items via Enchanted Dust, Glowing Shards, and Scrap Materials.
Another activity you might want to try but at a slower pace as you gain Combat Rating from Legendary Gems, Legendary Item upgrades, and new Legendary Item loot is the Challenge Rifts. These do not provide XP, but every 5 Challenge Rift Levels there is a chance for a Legendary Item reward, and Enigmatic Crystal rewards which can be used to upgrade secondary items such as Set Items.
