Season 2 of Mythic+ is now live and some of the dungeons are much harder than others. Here are some of the hardest Mythic+ bosses to watch out for currently!

, Neltharion's Lair
Naraxas
is probably the hardest boss at the moment due to high healing requirement on the encounter. While this dungeon seems manageable on lower key difficulties, the healing on the encounter starts to scale out of control at keystone level 17+.
The combined damage of
Desgraça Tóxica
and
Arremessando Pedras
starts to deal higher and higher damage as the fight goes on, making it harder to harder to heal. This boss leaves Neltharion's Lair with the
highest key untimed
being a +18 and the highest key timed
being a 17
.
Tip
: Bring a Poison dispel. Don't do high Neltharion's Lair keys.
Dargrul
, Neltharion's Lair
The damage that is caused when you move either the add or the boss via
Rachador de Magma
deals very very high damage after some last minute buffs. This leads to you wanting to keep both the add and boss as still as possible the entire time.
If you can defeat Naraxus, you can probably defeat this boss, however this strategy is much more strategy dependent, especially on your tank.
Tip
: The
Carvouro Derretido
will
always
be summoned on Dargrul's left side. This means that you can guarantee the add spawn on top of
Aguilhões de Cristal
if your tank turns the boss right before the cast. If the add spawns on top of the spikes, it will be instantly stunned, take double damage from
Cristal Rachado
and can be killed before it takes a single step. If you don't spawn the add on top of the crystals, it will deal massive damage to the group, possibly leading to a wipe.
Altairus
, Vortex Pinnacle
The ticking aura of
Frio Penetrante
deals massive damage to the entire party the entire time while it's active. I believe it's supposed to do very high damage because players are supposed to have a 30% haste buff from
A Favor do Vento de Altairus
the entire time. However, especially on
Rajada Descendente
casts, the winds can sometimes change, leading to the party taking a massive amount of damage and the healer being unable to cast while they're in the air.
In addition, it's super important for all players to leave
Contra o Vento de Altairus
as soon as possible as not only are you in negative haste, but also taking even more damage per second.
These overlaps are what cause some of the biggest chances of death on this encounter. Players should look to use personals on
Rajada Descendente
, but this fight has a lot of healing to be done and quick transitions on
Chamar os Ventos
are very important.
Tip
: The winds can only spawn on the 4 cardinal directions. The tank can move the boss to make swapping to upwind faster.
Asaad
, Vortex Pinnacle
This boss also has a high healing check, with the
Nova Cadente
dealing massive damage to the entire party until it's destroyed. It also has a massive health pool with over 3 Million HP on +17, leading to it surviving for a long time. During the
Nova Cadente
, the healer and party is also forced to jump to avoid
Atração Estática
and eventually move to the safe zone for
Supremacia da Tempestade
.
It's another high healing boss fight that requires DPS to quickly swap to an add to kill it.
Tip
: Kill the add as fast as possible.

This boss has a scaling issue with the
Devorador
shield scaling to massive values. Players need to break the shield to save the
Consumir
player inside. In addition, you can't let the same person get
Consumir
twice in a row (unless you immunity), so you also need a DPS or healer to get consumed at some point and take the massive damage.
Putriarca Olhira
, Brackenhide Hollow
This boss does a massive amount of damage, and has a cyclical nature of one bad thing going wrong causing more bad things going wrong, and thus leading to a wipe.
The main mechanic is
Podridão Definhante
where every stack reduces your damage done by 5% and deals more damage. There's a
Totem Putrestouro
that spawns that has a 5 second cast with over 1 million HP. If you don't kill it before it casts, it applies one stack of
Podridão Definhante
to everyone, making it harder to kill the next totem before the cast. The only reasonable way to kill this boss currently seem to be to kill every single Totem before it EVER CASTS. This is ridiculously hard because of how often totems spawn. On lower key levels it's more manageable as long as the rotating cloud doesn't go over the totem when it spawns.
Tip
: The totem will ALWAYS spawn across the room from the boss. As such, the tank should always be
AHEAD
of the cloud, thus spawning the totem behind the cloud and making sure the melee can hit it.
In addition, the tank has to deal with
Golpe Deteriorante
which is an absolutely massive amount of absorb shield since it scales with key level. This combined with the boss gaining 5% damage per stack from
Força Decompositora
basically means if people ever get stacks, your tank is going to die, further emphasizing the need to kill the totems as soon as possible.
Senhora da Guerra Sargha
, Neltharus
The difficulty of this boss comes from the DoT when you pick up an item from the pile because it's a Curse dispel, thus making certain comps unable to cleanse the debuff. The difference between having a Curse dispel on this encounter and not is massive because I'm not sure how you balance a DoT and not having the DoT groups. You essentially need the items to break the shield but it's so much damage to take if you don't have a Curse dispel.
In addition, each item that is picked up from the Gold piles has a different cast time. Some can be cast while moving, some can't, they have different ranges and more. Players need to check which item they have, and how to use it because each of the swirlies during the Shield phase will one shot you if you get hit. You can try to pre-cast the item as well if you know the cast time, trying to beat the swirlies.
Tip
: Bring a Curse Dispel.
