Very rare loot is kinda lame (if you get the short end of the RNG stick) and they cant hit the mark with it, so just get rid of it imo. Save dev time making it, saves dev time having to explain it, and saves everyone from being in a weird situation where your main is still looking for a Nelths trinket 10 weeks into the season.
Remove very rare loot. Don't know what you have to smoke to think that this is a good system. I mean, Ion said that they "reached their goal with very rare loot". The only goal i can imagine is create something unfun and annoying.
Very Rare loot in S2 is okayish I would say.But in S1 it was a total failure. Making Hunter DPS reliant on a very rare item from the endboss of the raid was a hyper bad decision that should have realized when the first developer came up with the concept of the bow.
Why can't rare loot be like a mog or something. tying it to gear is not a good idea imo.

LAMO I was surpized to see alot of the top end guilds getting BIS trikets rares in the first week! And I only saw 1 rare trinket since the teir dropped.
It's clear they're trying to introduce "chase items" to keep us on the treadmill. I enjoyed the quick gearing in season 2 but it seems they think it was too fast and the sub numbers aren't where they want them for the business. I don't really enjoy the rare drops because it just makes me feel bad for having $%^& luck, and we have to keep reclearing these easy bosses for a small chance at this drop to keep the raid happy instead of putting more time into prog. I wouldn't mind the rare powerful items as much if we had a more reliable way to farm it. A catalyst of sorts, bad luck protection 8 weeks into the patch if you're playing regularly and killing bosses every week.
Bad luck protection with dinars in Shadowlands S4 was the perfect solution for the trinket RNG issues. They just should have kept that system.

Please Blizzard, do not listen to these people in these comment sections. Very Rare loot is fine. Maybe some quirks that needs to be ironed out, but it's okay if they stay in. People don't need to get everything in the game and RNG should 100% be a factor in acquiring gear in an RPG. It's a staple of the genre and it does not need to change.
very rare loot feels bad imo not a fan of even more loot rng, few things feel as bad as going an entire season short ur BiS trink bc it is super rare and 4 other ppl on the team need it too
I wish we could by trinkets a few weeks into the season like we would during SL s4. It would help smooth out the bad luck some of us can have.
RNG loot is bad for the game. All loot should be fully deterministic. Just make bosses drop some currency and put all items on vendor so we can buy whatever we want with zero RNG.
The concept is kinda fine now. You dont have items that literally everyone wants (Icon), you have an increased chance at getting it in your vault (never did see nelth trinket, though) and now that tier pieces are lowered the overall dropchance increases. I just dont like the timing of things
Dont worry about gear guys its mostly irrelevant now, just whisper the right guys in your group get the most externals you can and never have to worry about try-harding for gear! easyI use whisper macros
Its more rare becuase every single boss have 4+ items of each armor type now.Rare loot is more rare because every single boss if filled to the brim with loot that take up an rng spot making the dice even harder to hit.
