Heroic Chess was a blast. Went into fatigue on the first attempt but pulled huge value out of my minions and kept sacrificing pawns to cheat and the like when I could. One-shot FTW, but sadly it's difficult to prove it.Might do the rest eventually.Edit: One-shot on Heroic Intro. I think one thing worth adding is to use and the apprentice in conjunction if possible since it maximizes on value and often puts spells you want to use back into the deck. Strongly worth mulliganing for both cards.
Once I got lorewalker cho, shifter zerus and nat pagle in the same game in prologue (no joking)
Never pass turn 1 on the chess event. You want a pawn on turn 1, followed by 2 pawns turn 2, so you can start beating down your opponents pieces. Not to mention the 1 free damage could win you the game.
Priest class chalenge is only chalenge that i (normal) that i didn't pass on first try
I ended up using Kibler's deck but I put in to use with this combo is pretty powerful in both match-ups. Much more powerful when you have a on the board and or or the numerous other ways to do 1 AoE damage with the warrior class.
Magic Mirror was by far the hardest heroic in this wing, Silverware Golem was even disappointingly easy, beated in on first try with my magic mirror shaman deck when I was intending to just see what was different from normal, even having useless cards like eater of secrets in my deck.
I have yet to win Chess and was struggling a lot with Magic Mirror, but that one I quite easily managed after I found a Priest deck: . I tried several others like both Warrior and the Mage decks mentioned in the guide, but kept getting overwhelmed. The Priest deck has the goal of filling the opponents board with useless 0-attack minions, using silences to switch his board from 1/1's to 0/x. Best is to mulligan hard for the 0 and 1-drops so you can fill his board as fast as possible. I got the bigger cards on my first run so I lost, but on only my second try with this deck it was an easy full-health win...For everyone struggling with the Magic Mirror HC: try it out....Now to get my chess game up to pace....
Against the golem I tried warrior and mage but none worked.I beat the first 2 heroics with Mill rogue on first try.The heroic chess is a pain. I like that it's something else but it's not much fun in my opinion since your win depends a lot on topdeck wars.I skipped my first turn, dropped one pawn into his two. He played only one pawn the next turn so I dropped 3 pawns after that. From there on it was a lot about topdecking answers, like the horses at the right moment or getting something to survive one more turn. You'll notice soon if it works or not since you'll actually have more minions on the board than your opponent. The most skill you need is to check what you can get away with. Use your horse to deal 4 dmg to a tower or kill off a pawn and which one ?The queen is essential to your success. You can drop her to deal a ton of damage to his board and thus, gain control of it and later move her to the side to deal face damage. The last turn was simply me re-arranging the baord so every bigger damage deal was at the sides to hit face.I really think the horses and the queen are the most important pieces since they are the only guys who deal a good amount of dmg.Dropping horses all the way to the right might be a good idea or even close to a bishop to help it survive anaother turn.If a horse survives 1-2 more turns that's going to help you big time.
I beat the Golem and the Mirror, but the Chess is really a pain in the a$$. Also the enemy Hero Power is quite insane, he can always destroy you a miniom no matter what. Beat the Chess today, it's very complicated indeed. But I've got some lucky movements and top decks and won on my third try.
The Chess heroic is pure evil. It's heroic Chromaggus and Skelesaurus Hex all over again. Pure misery.
I have lost 20 times at least with the chess. Really frustrating!
I really didn't like the Patron deck against Heroic Mirror, he can stack up his spellpower really quick and any spell clears your patrons.Try a Priest-deck with silences, , , and . Just fill up his board with minions that can't attack and never clear anything. He even helps you filling it quicker with Mirror Entity. He has no cards to clear his own board and a lot more card draw than you, so after it's full just skip your turn until he dies of fatigue. You can even leave a 1/1 up on his board and just heal yourself each turn. By far the easiest Heroic boss so far.
The Heroic Chess fight hints that Hearthhead have are pretty much spot on. Forget about board clearing, just get them down to 1-2 pieces and go hard at the face.
Got extremely lucky and managed to One-Turn kill Malchezaar.Had Astral Portal, Archmage Insight, Evocation and Arcane Power on hand, Astral portal... And gives me Antonidas! Use Evocation, Archmage Insight and Arcane power... And those 3 spells give me fireballs that now cost 0 mana.Cue A-Ha! Spam and 11 Fireballs later Malchezaar is dead
