One of the faq questions is misleading:
It is fun. Things to note: Your whole deck is legendary minions and Offensive plays, so don't worry too much about Millhouse Manastorm, since they don't have any spells. On the other hand, Lorewalker Cho is a dead card, and Malygos is awful since you don't have any damage spells (outside of a weird Xaril+Antonidas thing). You do get multiple copies of Offensive plays, at least 2 of them, so don't be scared to use one early to get on the board. The only thing your hero choice affects is your hero power.
Looks nice!
Mistcaller is OP; makes cards such as lorewalker cho better.
Should be an interesting Tavern Brawl. Thanks for the update!
First Brawl, opponent had two Offensive Plays, then put out 4 Ragnarossis.
Can't win for three hours already. I guess I'm doing something wrong...
I went second, turn 1 , , , opponent insta concedes
I've gotten a few amusing games, but for the most part it relies almost entirely on what cards you draw. If someone gets two Offensive Plays by turn 2-3, they've usually won. My very first game was also absurd and someone got three Fjola Lightbane on turn 1.I'm quitting with my last game. I felt absolutely robbed. I got 3 Mimiron's Heads and played them, figuring I'd get three V07TR0Ns. Nope, just got one. Disappointing, but okay, I'm still winning. Next turn I play Blingtron and my opponent gets Gorehowl and I get Cursed Blade.
This is by far the worst brawl yet. Not fun against random people and not fun against friends. I got my 3 wins for my quest and will not go back in!
My very first game with this Brawl was really short. I played Harrison Jones, he played Blingtron, I played Harrison Jones. He conceded! :D
This looked like a fun brawl at first. But soon I found out that if you can't get on the board first and stay there, it's done pretty soon. Doesn't matter too much what you use Offensive Play on, as long as it's on a card that is big enough for the moment you use it. Games going beyond turn 7 or 8 are rare. and so is turning the tide. Because of all this, and because it's Tavern Brawl with no consequences to losing, people tend to concede pretty fast once it turns out it's not going their way. Another reason for games not going beyond 7 or 8....In the end: not that much fun. For me, there are far more fun brawls.
All sorts of cards can turn the tide, though. I had a fun game where it wasn't going my way to start with because my opponent was filling up with spells from Nexus Champion then he picked up Deathwing! But I had Ragnaros Lightlords and was able to stabilize with massive amounts of healing and ultimately took the game back and won.
What will happen if Offensive Play is used on Shifter Zerus or his transformations?
