Are any of these events going to have the potential to award Champion-level gear or Drake Crests? Is the reward quality going to matter like it did for previous community events, essentially forcing players to form raid teams instead of doing the activities organically with players on their servers?
Awesome! Who just can't get enough of these "fill the bar"-type events?...Sarcasm intended.
Such a new concept. I wonder how they keep coming up with such fresh ideas
Really hope this amount of public events is just a Dragonflight thing. I don't mind the odd one or two, but so many outdoor content systems that become undoable in future patches because player interest drops is a huge downgrade over recent expansions. Even with the Maw sucking it felt like I could do more outdoor content in Shadowlands almost any time during the week than I can Dragonflight - if you don't do the most recent scheduled stuff as early in the week as possible and finish it as early in the patch as possible, you're just screwed.
I'm sincerely asking and not trying to be a *!@#.Do people actually like WoW world content? All of my friends think they are boring and a waste of time.I just haven't ever met a single person that thinks WoW zone events are good.We are several months into the patch and none of us have run more than 1 Dreamsurge because it was so boring the first time just sitting at an npc waiting for some arbitrary timer (like always in this game) to count down to zero just for the event to happen across the zone with no notice. All for the wait to produce 5 mobs and a boss. And then after this wait we find we need to do at least 2 more to finish the weekly quest. None of us finished it. We all decided to never do dreamsurges again after that.
Even more generic every hour world events.. yay so fun.
Whether or not you like this type of content is one thing, but these people who come in and say that there's "nothing to do" in the game is quite another. Don't just blurt out that there's "nothing to do" in the game, just because YOU don't like what's available. That doesn't mean that there's "nothing to do". They are both entirely different things. It blows my mind sometimes, some of the bird brain comments I see here.
Love these events.
Cool more boring trash everyone will stop bothering with after a week or two
Very excited to add this to the ever-growing list of content I'll never be able to meaningfully engage with because I can't spend 12 hours a day for the first two weeks grinding the reputation to finished and then never doing it again like a lion's share of modern players do apparently.Distinctly remember people on here/the WoW forums suggesting most people were finished with niffen reputation before week 3 even started and just checking out of the game completely. Good design!
I guess either the 441 1/8 explorer or veteran is a typo :)
Yet another forced group open world content that will whither on the vine within 1 month of release because blizz refuse to accept the fact that the games current population simply cannot support it. Also if its still giving out champion gear on a once a week basis, it is already DOA.
