Its comical that a writer at wowhead thought this was newsworthy. Random streamer reaction to a patch announcement.Even more comical that they actually posted it. lul
Thanks for the great video and info man! Appreciate what you are doing and love the honest attitude. It's about time someone was willing to be honest and not just complain.I'll definitely have to check out your channel!
I enjoy seeing all the different opinions on how D4 is doing so far. So far with the announcements and the campfire chat, I am not overly excited for this season. The fact that they've upped the ilvl drops from high nm dungeons is nice, but the fact that really the only way to get any uber-uniques is still to farm Duriel ad nauseam sucks. And the fact that the gauntlet isn't coming until midseason seems like a thing to try and draw people who left back in to try to boost their numbers again. Will I try this season of D4? Probably. Will I stick around for more than 1-2 weeks? Probably not.
I get it, a lot of the Diablo player base is not satisfied with where D4 is. You can include me in that camp, I played preseason and skipped Season 1, before spending a good amount of time in season 2. But by the time AoZ hit I was already checked out for the season. Let's not take it out on the people advocating for us. Stream communities like Barricade's have the ear of the dev team and it's to our benefit to have people who will be honest about the game with both us and the dev team. Barricade does a good job of being critical in a civil way that is constructive to get the game to a place where we all might enjoy it.As for the game - I want QoL changes that makes the game not like a job. Not everything has to be on a timer that we all have to schedule our evenings around to make sure we're being efficient. World Bosses could spawn more frequently and the helltide aberrants should really just carry over from tide to tide. The game seems confused on what it wants to be. It's like it wants to be casual friendly in all the player power buffs and how you can play for a couple of weekends and put it down and finish most of what you wanted to in that time. It wants to be a hardcore game that makes you plan your day around the things there are to do in the end game. I don't think I'll be paying for an expansion and I probably won't play season 3, but I hold out hope that the devs can find what they want the identity of their game to be and commit to it instead of failing at being multiple things. We shall see!
Love the honest response. Great that it is not just a doom and gloom, nor a rose colored review based on our decades of love for the franchise. Good comparison the existing games that already fill the space. These games are exponentially better when played together. I just wished the in game social layer was better to allow us to group with and help people. The most fun for me is always just help others that may not have the same time as I do to get to the endgame and enjoy all the game has to offer. If only Blizzard added functions such as actual clan benefits, or looking for group functions where we can find parties easier in game, it would drag me back time and time again to find new people to enjoy D4 with.Agree with your overall sentiment though. There are some good aspects and it is clear that the game has improved since launch, but feels like so much more is needed in the space to to prevent the season to run out of content after a few weeks.
Thank you for giving us your honest thoughts Barricade. I will say D4 is a lot better, then D3, but I'm still finding myself looking for that "jah" or 'ber" excitement.
That's why I don't like youtubers, streamers or whatever you call them.. The guy posting an opinion about a thing he even tried out. This is lame and a bad habit.Just comment the changes, play it and later post a video with your persona opinion. A decent streamer should do it.
