It should be fun to watch a Shaman pull off a Baron Rivendare, Nerubian Egg, Rebirth, Rebirth combo.
Only 20 more cards to go. O a better note only 4 more weeks / 4 more class card reveals. Hoping that is linked somehow on the Adventure release date (ie they finish class cards the next week can be Naxx go time).
I'm personally most looking forward to playing an aggro Paladin deck that's actually viable. Dancing Swords into Divine Favor is gonna be crazy good.
Mixed feelings on the Ambusher. On the one hand, being above stats is good, and if you have a good chance at having a cheap minion out (esp. paladin and shaman), then the Deathrattle may not be disastrous. Hell, if you have a minion that you don't mind going back to your hand like Gnomish Inventor, your opponent will even get headaches from it.However, the issue is that it requires those favorable circumstances (cheap minion out, or a minion you want back, or no other minion out) to allow its 5/5 body to shine. If you're playing against a mage for example, and you have this and something else out, one Fireball and you've lost a *lot* of tempo. Basically, if they can kill a Yeti, they can kill this - and give you that tempo setback. As for the other cards released thus far... Rivendare obv has the potential to be amazing. Potentially a Cult Master on crack, though it'll be interesting to see if he's consistent enough to be worthwhile. I love Shade - has the potentially to be great in quite a few decks. Few decent AoE spells hit it if it comes down on turn 2/3, and stealth allows you to tick it up until you feel safe with it. Having a 3 cost minion that can potentially draw out Hex/Poly/Assassinate or any other hard removal is pretty sweet.Undertaker isn't bad considering there are quite a few viable deathrattle minions, though I wonder if any one deck can reach a level of enough low cost ones to make him a good enough turn 1 play. Death's Bite is hard to evaluate - Fiery War Axe is a lot more efficient, and Arcanite Reaper does more damage and doesn't have the risk of hurting your own board. Rebirth, I feel, is really good. But that might just be because I love the thought of Rebirthing an awesome silenced minion like Cairne or Sylvanas (or just straight up Rebirthing one of those two for awesome value).
Imagine having Baron Rivendare out, with a Cairne Bloodhoof. Then use ancesteral spirit and rebirth to summon 4 Cairnes and a Baine. Opponent would probably just insta-concede.
You would be left with 2 Cairnes and 2 Baines. It's the deathrattle that is triggered twice, not the ancestral spirit and the rebirth.
I'm still waiting for the CoN pricing. I guess it will not be revealed any time sooner.
I get the feeling that the change to Ancestral Spirit will be that it now states that it gives the minion a Deathrattle, rather than just being a generic spell effect. If that's the case, then it will trigger with Baron Rivendare, and proc all the other Deathrattle activities. As such, you would end up with two Baines (card deathrattle), two Cairnes (Ancestral Spirit deathrattle) and one more Cairne (Rebirth).I would much rather see Baron Rivendare synergy with Ancestral Spirit, Rebirth and Ragnaros, to end up with three Rags.Imagine a turn 7-8 combo:Coin -> RagnarosBaron Rivendare (4)Ancestral Spirit (0)Rebirth (2)Ancestral Spirit (0)Rebirth (2)Total: 5 x RagnarosAnyway, I'm more interested to see how the Rogue's deathrattle returning a friendly minion to hand will work. Note the lack of the word 'random' in the text - does this mean we'll get to choose? How will that work with the timer if it's in the middle of the opponent's turn?
I'll be much more excited as these get balanced.
I don't like the Ambusher because it encourages the miracle playstyle that is already going out of hand. I understand playing a lot from hand is intended to be part of playing a rogue, but at the current scale they hardly use any minions we get chance to kill before they outlive their usefulness and it is annoyingly non-interactive and hard to counter. The Ambusher further discourages them from placing anything worth removing and encourages cycling battlecries and combos.
Baron rivendare, faceless manipulator and 2 leper gnomes..
I wonder if a Redeemed Defender can Avenge himself?
i hope warlocks will finally receive a "curse card" :)
I hope that Anduin gets a great card out of Nax's patch. Playing as Anduin seems...underrated.
Nerubian Egg might be a very good reason for warlocks to start running bane of doom.
Shaman: plays 'Baron Rivendare'.*ends turn*Paladin: phew not too bad he doesnt have any deathrattles (yet) plays 'Sen'jin Shieldmasta' with 'Blessing of Kings' *ends turn*Shaman: plays 'Cairne Bloodhoof' 'Ancestral Spirit' 'Rebirth' and 'Ancestral Healing' *ends turn laughing real hard*Paladin: plays 'Wild Pyromancer' and 'Equality' *ends turn luaghing harder*Shaman: *rage quits*
