Yeah, I don't know about that. It's depends of how much the endgame resolve around reaching it.I do hope it doesn't mean that's when the fun is designed to begins. We'll see.
So about a week for an average gamer, nice. 150 hours isn't that bad in the grand scheme. This is sarcasm. That's a lot of grinding.
Good to know! I'm probably the average player, so around 90 days to get level 100. I hope it is fun all the way! :D
lolThat might be acceptable if it was a one time deal, but 150 hours seems a bit much if they want to do seasons, even if you can be a bit faster after getting some game experience
I don't like the sound of this but I guess we'll find out for sure soon enough.
for all who wonder, as someone said here, endgame is not at lvl 100 endgame basically starts when you hit 50 and start to earn paragon points(4 per lvl i believe) so its not like you have to grind that lvl each season to enjoy endgame, you will slowly get there, while progressing thru season :)
For how long they claim the leveling process to be, it'd better not just be endlessly copied and pasted filler content till the end. It's a lot to ask for so much unique content, but if they're going to make the process that time-consuming, it'd better be at least moderately enjoyable.
I don't think this matters as much as people think. Most builds in D2 only required lower 80s, and by that point you could equip all items and get every synergy for your main skills 'done'. The skill points you got beyond that were mostly QoL and fluff, with the attributes you gained giving you a marginal stat boost. The reason it took so long to level up in D2 is because there was level thresholds at certain points that made XP gained from monsters go down, and you have to seek out the highest level monsters in the game the closer you got to max level. At a certain point there was only several monsters that could get you XP.PoE operates to a similar degree with penalizing you for XP gain at certain thresholds (much like D2) but you can feasibly level if you just do the hardest content in the game. It just takes awhile. D2 you had to do very certain monsters (at least until recently) to level up. Much like D2, you don't realistically gain much for hitting max level because you've already hit the most impactful nodes along the way. Stretch goals for many PoE builds usually hit the 94-96 mark, while builds are generally very operational in the mid 80s (meaning it feels complete). If D4 operates remotely close to either of these games it's very likely hitting the late 80s to early 90s won't take that long. The difference between a level 90 and a level 100 is 40 paragon points, but perhaps those last 40 won't matter nearly as much if you can just scoop up powerful nodes prior. If I had to guess, getting to 95 will be a big goal and the last 20 paragon points you get for getting to 100 won't be all that impactful. As a last reference point for PoE anyway (haven't played D2 since the changes in the last season), the amount of XP required to go from 98-100 is more than the total XP needed to get to 98 in the first place.
And when does end game begins ? cause 100 hours just to reach it is just too much.
That is fine for the release version. Just don't trash it too quickly into a 2-hour experience with future expansions please!
Level 100 is probably about 800paragon from d3, except it's a hard cap instead of a soft one now
graphics from 2000, likely interesting monetization for an 80 dollar game + 100 up front investement into levelling in an ENDGAME focused game yeah its dead on arrival L blizz
For the average player its the same in PoE just point out.
It will take 2 days max. That's with the current CBT Beta end game speed.Regardless, I will only be playing non-season because seasons that only last 3 months with no trading/economy are pointless.
