I feel like the PVE cancellation announcement was the the game @#$%ting the bed and it's not going to make these roadmaps any more popular for the time being.
So it's not like the stuff here looks terrible (that fantasy event is catching my eye as well as the story stuff) just the PvE original plans being scrapped still stings.
I see they're trying to calm down the very warranted and deserved firestorm after the disastrous interview earlier.
Overwatch 3 when ?
Honestly, Blizz should've gone with how Fortnite started off...At first, Fortnite was just a zombie tower defense game-mode with a story mode added in... it wasn't until they added a PvP Battle Royale that it sparked in interest... now Fortnite is not a team-based tower defense game but a Battle Royale.Had Blizzard just stayed with the story mode and served the PvP later instead of giving into the demand, we could've had something... but no... they had to keep the Esports scene alive because they sunk too much money into it.
with PvE being canceled it makes the several year gap of no updates and content kind of pointless since most people thought it was being done to work on the PvE stuff for OW2 instead it was just a long wait for a balance patch at the end of the day lmao
So stupid that character reworks are being delayed for later seasons. They're literally avoiding balancing the game so they can pass it as content in the future. This &*!@ was happening season 1 with the Sojourn balancing and other nonsense. Screw ow2
And yet people will still play it, so ActiBlizz has no reason to do better. Kotick said something years ago along the lines of gamers being stupid and willing to consume whatever slop's shoveled at them, and there's enough of you out there who continue to prove him right.
Like, here's the thing; what's here isn't even that bad. But announcing that PvE is dead is gonna torpedo this game.
People crying about pve being canceled while in reality we all know nobody would play that mode. It's the same as with pve modes in League, everyone wants them back and then when they bring them back people play them for 1 day and never touch them again. Better to put resources into pvp imo, the content has been coming at a steady pace since Overwatch 2 released and it's good to know it will keep coming.
Can someone at Blizzard actually explain what the 2 is worthy of then?Besides taking our money again and making everything worse?
It used to be ironic but man, Overwatch really turned horrible once Kaplan bailed out
Also sweet more events that are basically just permission to spend money on limited time horse#$%^ and nothing elseYippee.
Also this means Blizzard stopped production on OW1, and basically spent two/three years redoing the UI and basically nothing else 😂😂😂
