"Fix the risk of damage", is there anything we should know about? 😲
YAY I can try the beta now!I have an EVGA 3080ti not a Gigabyte, but I wasn't really wanting to take a chance.
Hopefully they (Blizzard) fixed the ram problem too... Diablo used 31GB from 32GB all the time. No matter what settings...
Hope Blizzard is replacing all those fans GPU's that got fried. I stress the word hope.
It took like 24-27GB on my PC with 64GB RAM, I guess efficient usage of available memory - why reread from M2 if you can keep it in RAM?
If the game is made to run at recommended with : intel Core i5-9500 6-Core 3.0GHz / AMD Ryzen 5 2500X 4-Core 3.6GHz, and AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, how in the world a 3080ti can have issues that require driver update... I swear games this days are like a casino... Not everyone has a 5 Tesla's and 11 houses hanging on the cliff of what ever mountain with floating beds above the lava, and money to turn with a shovel, that can afford a 4090ti , 5090ti, 6090ti and what ever the next gems is + 70-100 Euro's per game... just to run ur game... its obvious already that game creators are just there for the money... but at least optimize ur god damn games already... U dont even need beta or alphas for hardwere tests, considering ur rigs are top tiers...
FYI those drivers are useless, not sure why nvidia release/promote it, the profile inside for d4 is pointing to the dev copy of the gameProfile "Diablo 4" ShowOn GeForce ProfileType Application Executable "fenris.exe" Executable "fenris.noaegis.exe" Executable "fenris_p.exe" Executable "fenris_p.noaegis.exe" Executable "fenris_ra.exe" Setting ID_0x105e2a1d = 0x00000004 Setting ID_0x10f9dc81 = 0x00000011 Setting ID_0x10f9dc84 = 0x01000000 Setting ID_0x80857a28 = 0x00000001EndProfile
Sometimes I wish my lenovo laptop got updates more often, but definitely not an option to use the generic driver updates, they brick it lmfao.
I really hope it helps fix that memory leak. Reddit was full of people with this issue, even those using 4090s and 128gb of RAM. The ‘ultra’ settings were just not playable for almost everyone.
Unlike popular believe it's better to not automatically update drivers to the latest version. Also do not use Nvidia Experience or any other sort of automatic drivers updates. And that the point for every driver, not just graphics drivers.Once you have a stable system and everything works as expected, there is no need to update drivers ever unlessa) they include an important security fix (security flaws, which in Nvidia's case for example, are often only caused by Nvidia Experience)orb) a new game forces you to use a newer driver version.I'm still on on driver version 472.12 because it runs perfect with WoW and the D4 Beta. And while I know many people with a series 3xxx or 4xxx card won't use such an old driver, the solution for Nvidia often is to try an old(er) driver version instead of always going for the latest one.
