Good information post for people looking to squeeze vuln into their class! But.. man. I wish they would get rid of vuln. It's giving me borderlands 2 slag vibes, which became "the whole game is balanced around applying a debuff that makes enemies take more damage", which really kills skill viability. Sorcerer being both limited to frost *and* mostly melee-range for consistent vuln sounds like hell. At least on druid, there's synergy for all four build archetypes to get vulnerability in, even if some of it is locked behind legendaries (which is its own can of problems if you aren't end-game farming)
This is missing a lot of sources still (and I know you said it isn't a comprehensive list, but, what are we doing at that point), for example Elemental Exposure passive for Druid, Ice Blades for Sorceress, Bone Splinter or Sever for Necromancer to name a couple.Would hate for people to read this and think their class is worse at applying Vulnerability than they actually are. There is already enough bad information floating around. Should just list all sources of it instead of "guaranteed" sources that is still missing some of those "guaranteed" sources.
I already knew this although it’s not at all explained in the game’s interface so it’s very good that you are raising awareness of it.As a Sorcerer main I have been beyond frustrated by how limited we are in our ability to apply Vulnerable and I sincerely hope this is a top priority for Blizzard whenever this mythical 13 page patch decides to materialize. As it is, unless you play an Ice Shards build you have no reliable way to apply Vulnerable and are thus severely punished for not being able to dip into that “bucket” of damage multiplier.Going forward Vulnerable either needs to be entirely removed from the game and everything balanced accordingly to account for it OR it needs to become a lot easier to apply and not be tied to specific skills that essentially kill build diversity.
