Did they lost the rights on Exocet together with Blizzard North or why dont they feature their own for Diablo invented font since D3? Instead we get those evil looking Arial and another uberevil sansserif. Ridiculous.
Well Exocet is older than Diablo and definitely was not created by Blizzard and not specifically for Diablo, it appears the font is free to use so anyone could use the "Diablo font" (plenty of people actually did on the 90s, specially movies) so one of the reasons to have a new font is to increase brand recognition (as title font), however another reason its probably being replaced is the same for the reduced use of WoW's Morpheus font (used in old ingame books and quest titles): readability, those stylized fonts are hard to read at a glance, requiring full focus to "decipher" the text, which is bad when you need to quickly decide to throw away equipment to make room for better ones
