According to
d4race.com
,
Rob2628
is the first player to reach Level 100 in Diablo 4! Based on the fan-made racing site's rankings, Twitch streamer and Youtube creator Rob took a landslide win in the race for World First 100. We do not know if these rankings are reliable, so we hope to hear official confirmation from Blizzard soon. That being said, the race for Hardcore World First Level 100 is still on, so be sure to check out our race coverage over the next few days!
Rob2628 on Youtube Barbarian Whirlwind Guide
In total, Rob played roughly 54 hours to get to Level 100, mostly farming dungeons and PvP zones with high Elite monster density. In terms of his sleep schedule, Rob states that he had about 8 hours of sleep over the last ~62 hours since Diablo IV's Early Access Launch, meaning that he played pretty much non-stop outside of sleeping. The build he was running is an iteration of a Whirlwind Barbarian that relied on high Battle Shouts and
Whirlwind
uptime.

Thanks for the six buttons / abilities to use Blizzard, for catering to console players. A legitimate build is to just..shout and use Whirlwind. Cool.
You’re on WoWhead. If you want more buttons, play WoW. Probably not DH as they only 4 abilities, but maybe holy priest with 7 full action bars of buttons. Should be your pace.
Wow has too many buttons... lol Actually the back by popular demand talent trees in wow is whats keeping me away now. Every update they are rebalancing stuff meaning you need to redo your talent tree and when you have 50 characters...... yea thats FUN. At least you can copy paste a build if you have say 10 warriors but still. Would rather go back to having not talent trees than taking away half my abilities and locking them behind a dumb tree with "meaningful choice" that they have been trying to get for years
Huh, mate one class is being updated every 6 months. You'll be right. The games got the perfect anount of buttons now.

Didn't Blizzard say it would be weeks or months before someone would reach level 100? And the actual release hasn't even happen yet. My oh my...
This is prob a comment based on and targeted towards casuals, not the ultra try-hards. They always find a way to be quicker than devs anticipate.
They said approx 150 hours of gameplay to reach max. Likely, meant for casual players so this person taking 1/3 of that sounds about right. Of course, all the things that made this happen so fast where also patched out just after they hit 100 so not likely others could even reproduce the time. More research is needed to find other builds/options/paths that can be min/max to get from 1 to 100 in 54ish hours.
