I keep hoping that Blizzard will start doing seasonal content that isn't just '<Color> helltide.' in the form of going to a singular area and farming. Take after your competition. Empowering goblins, Reuse the powerful Hunters from S2 and drop the blood theme, look at any of the dozen-or-so content nibbles that you can sprinkle everywhere, and then at the end of the season, make it a little rarer, and add some new content. Gives a steady mob-density up of like... 1.10x with each season as more and more mechanics compound on eachother with increasing frequency.
4 months. 4 months to wait until the game becomes maybe ok to at least install and try again. And that's a big maybe (they had 6 years to come up with a passable itemization system, and they failed). If they don't fix itemization (at the very least), game is unplayable, not worth any time for me.
The only sentence which is not a blatant lie is "we gonna sell an expansion". The rest? We were promised most of these "changes" months ago. The rest should have been in the base game. Not sure how they can get away with saying "additional endgame content", wowhead should rip them a new one. The problem is the "endgame content", we don't want more, we want functioning endgame content now for a change. A bossfight with 3 levels of material farming is not content guys. That is why we don't play it. Extra stash space is already missing from the roadmap. Why? Devs cannot code around the inventory-scanning issue. Without the inventory scanning, the game would fall apart. Remember the scripted weapon drops in the first wt4 dungeon? The game would break without these artificial bandaid fixes. And these people want to fix itemization, without fixing underlying issues. Good luck interns! Honestly I think these devs are not able to fix the game because they inherited too many bugs and legacy problems from the d3 engine, and let's be honest here: These overworked and underpaid people are not the cream of the industry. They will !@#$ up as they ^&*!ed up countless times already. And please you ^&*!@ic devs, stop talking about "fixing itemization" because you have no idea even how to begin. You poor fools will delete some useless affixes and thats it. That is the "itemization fix". This game is still a ripoff and it will remain a ripoff until a new team comes in and redesigns core mechanics.
Bummer, no further mentions of Rebirth.
this should never, have been called Diablo IV, to begin with.since DIABLO isn't even in it...!
So we're beta testing the game until the first expansion, which should probably be the actual launch. And they'll charge full price from the looks of it.The thing is: can they really fix this game without redoing it from the ground up? Because it really looks like it has some fundamental flaws that can't be fixed unless you delete it and start again.
