Totally necessary. I leveled from 1-65 in preseason and saw people chatting... Maybe 3 times. I didn't group for anything once. Might as well be a single player game
Better add single-player mode. In d3 it was greate, i only seen other players when i want to.Idk why i have to see other players in towns and world, ruining my immersion.
i used the team-up emote a couple of times, since you need to do it to get a couple of achieves, but I don't really play the games to make long-term friends. I like the way Rift did it. Show up for a boss, click other players around you and if they have the team-up option turned on, you're on a team. When the fight's over, go your separate ways. I haven't played Rift in forever, so if it's different now, don't "correct" me.
No idea how you come to the conclusion that anyone wrote anything in D3 chat? Have we played a different game? The only thing I've seen people writing was "kick XXX he's afk" while doing bounties. And why are people pressing that D4 is supposed to be a MMO? It's an ARPG, I am not interested in seeing other players in my world.
Diablo 4 is missing even the basic social features that Diablo 3 has.Global Chat ChannelsAutomatic Grouping (You can set game to public and it fills automatically for ANY content.) Pinging locations by dropping a flag.No trading = no economy, no reason to talk to others and items have no value. No leaderboards = no way to compare yourself to other players.Diablo 4 is bleeding players and P0E hasn't even launched a new league yet. Or even their new expansion. Why would anyone pay for this terrible game when it doesn't even offer basic features that a FREE game like P0E does.
Matchmaking would be way better than a chat, in my opinion.
It's embarrassing to realize that Immortal's p2w mechanics stopped many of us from seeing past that and appreciate its many features that are actually superior to D4 lol! Pretty wild when a mobile game adds more innovation and convenience than a 70 dollar PC title.
They need to fire these people
tin foil hat here, but probably not too far from the truth. They never intended this game to be an MMO or even have a great social gameplay to it. All they needed was a place that could act as a "lobby", like towns. So that cosmetics have a reason to exist. But it is kind of mind blowing how Diablo 4 has absolutely no features that should honestly be a given in this day and age. Imagine developping a game for 7 years and not realizing you might want to put gems in its own tab. Imagine having gems that has absolutely no use after you collect your 8-12 that you need to fill you character. A whole category of loot is just pointless. Even Diablo 2 did something with them.
Instead of considering they should have added them on release day...
Just like in D3, if I can't even trade a legendary drop I got what use is trading?
I'll never understand why they didn't build on the existing feature-set of D3 instead of trying to recreate the wheel between every franchise installment.......
