Remember when Rod Fergusson said there was no paid advantage. Then he announces a race, which you wont be able to do without buying the $100 version with 4 days early access. Also the thousands of people that have full access to the game for the past 2 weeks. But Rod thinks that 'this is not an advantage'.At least in P0E, when you 'beta' or access the early builds of the game it clearly states 'by participating in early access you no longer eligible for any 'race/season rewards'. More integrity than blizzard.Rod Fergusson is clearly out of touch, doubt he's played a game in decades.
Why btag instead of character name? People chose some goofy stuff 10+ years ago for their Btags. .... doubt anyone thought xXxSlayerxXx, Bigpumper, or Shroomgod was going to be engraved on a statue when they made it all those years ago. Well, guess it will be fun to see what gets put on there.
Wowhead article preview says "win one of the statues", actual article behind the jump has the actually correct info. Also, why do they need you to send proof? They can and do log tons of information per account. I can look at each of my WoW characters' stats page and see:How many times I've diedHow many of those deaths were fallingHow many were drowningHow many were to (X) specific mob or bossThe amount of food and drinks that character has consumed, including the most onesHow many random critters I've killedHow much gold in total I've looted or received directly (separate stats)And so, so much more. Entire spreadsheets basically for each character. So why do they need YOU to tell them you've hit 100 on a HC character? This also seems a not-subtle tactic to push more people into preordering.
That's a very weird prize. Something we'll never see? At first I thought they'd ship a Lilith statue out to you with your btag engraved, and I was like, "yeah that's super cool", and then re read that it'll be a big Lilith statue on Blizz's campus. That's like even less of an incentive to play lol
Glad i dont play HC
None of this matters, it's a very minuscule thing. What matters is the gameplay and the fun. This is a ruse to get more people to buy the game early.
