In 10.1.5, a series of dailies in Eon's Fringe takes us through time, correcting various anomalies in the timeways. In general, these quests have been a work in progress, with some of the quests currently unfinished, and others changing every time we see them. One of these quests - a Wrathion-themed daily - has received updates in the most recent build.
The Black Prince Parade
The quest is one of the dailies that can be found in Eon's Fringe, within the Everywhere Inn.
Barista Bob
, a character originally from Hearthstone, has finally made it into
World of Warcraft
- and he has a problem! Five separate portals have recently opened up, depositing five different Wrathions - each from his own time - and they're all arguing with each other. We're asked to help send them back to their own timelines.
From Stormwind, a Wrathion who needs to warn Anduin about the threat of the Old Gods.
From The Veiled Stair, a Wrathion who doesn't want to pay his tab.
From Ravenholdt Manor, a Wrathion whelpling.
From the Chamber of Heart, a Wrathion who helped us in the fight against N'Zoth.
And from the Obsidian Dragonshrine, a Wrathion who has just realized he helped cause a Legion invasion.
(The Legion Is Invading) Wrathion: The Burning Legion invaded, and you have nothing better to do than sit around and complain?
(Not Paying His Tab) Wrathion: Oh, please.
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: If you all would just stop talking for one moment I assure you--
(Old Gods Are Coming) Wrathion: The Old Gods--
(The Legion Is Invading) Wrathion: The Legion--
(Not Paying His Tab) Wrathion: I would've already claimed the power of Aspect by now, if I were you.
(Whelpling) Wrathion: By the Aspects, you are all so immature.
(Not Paying His Tab) Wrathion: How old are you again? And THIS is all I've accomplished?
(Old Gods Are Coming) Wrathion: We need to set aside our differences and coordinate a plan!
(The Legion Is Invading) Wrathion: You're all insufferable.
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: This is utter nonsense.
(Old Gods Are Coming) Wrathion: If we all went together to my time, the Old Gods wouldn't stand a chance
(Not Paying His Tab) Wrathion: If any of you were willing to listen to me, we could have claimed the Obsidian Citadel by now.
After accepting the quest, "The Legion Is Invading" Wrathion and "Fighting N'Zoth" Wrathion have a short argument.
(The Legion Is Invading) Wrathion: I released Garrosh and all that came of it was death and suffering. And now, the Legion is going to destroy everything. Just as I said it would--but it's my fault.
(The Legion Is Invading) Wrathion: How can you be so at ease, as though you are not responsible for so much bloodshed? Don't you feel guilty?
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: I don't want to talk about that. Not right now, and certainly not with you.
To send them back to their timelines, we tell Fighting N'Zoth Wrathion to apologize to his younger self - giving us a chance to witness Wrathion explain how he deals with the guilt of the mistakes he's made in the past.
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: I suppose I may owe myself an apology. I do have a point, after all.
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: I know the guilt you carry. I isolated myself for a long time, because of it. But eventually, threats come up that you cannot ignore.
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: The heroes of your time will be victorious against the Legion -- and look how far we've come! Our ancestral home, thriving and vibrant once more.
(The Legion Is Invading) Wrathion: ... I am glad to know I have a future to look forward to, despite it all.
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: And that future is so very bright. Remember that, in the hardship yet to come. You'll need it for N'Zoth.
(The Legion Is Invading) Wrathion: Excuse me, for what!?
(Fighting N'Zoth) Wrathion: You'll find out soon enough. Now, we must return. We both have people waiting for us.
The Old Gods Are Coming Wrathion needs help writing a letter to Anduin.
Ah, <name>, good that you're here.
You see, I would gladly return to my own time, but I am dealing with quite the predicament: I need to speak with my old friend -- now king of Stormwind -- Anduin.
I have essential information to share with him regarding the Old Gods.
Perhaps you could assist me in crafting a letter that will get me an audience?
<Help Wrathion write a letter.>
How shall we address the letter?
King Anduin
Your Most Esteemed Royal Highness
Old Friend
Whoever matters enough to get me an audience with the king
And the contents of this letter. How shall I compose the main text?
Straight to the point: I have information regarding the Old Gods' return...
Appealing to past adventures with Anduin as justification for his trust
Name dropping your mutual friend, <name>, who encouraged this meeting
Bribing him with the promise of many fine cloaks
All that's left is the signature.
Sincerely...
Wrathion
The Black Prince
Your New Official Royal Advisor
"Wrathion" (p.s. actually <name>)
Whelpling Wrathion is small. We just toss him into his portal.
As for Not Paying His Tab Wrathion, he's the ambitious hothead that we first quested with back in Pandaria. He hasn't yet learned from his mistakes... because he hasn't made most of them yet. In the previous version of this quest, the player punched Wrathion before kicking him out. Now, we seem to pay the tab ourselves... though no gold is actually taken from our bags - and Wrathion's bodyguards, Left and Right, escort him back to the Veiled Stair.
They're all fools for not listening to me.
So busy bickering they can't even see that I could lead us to claim the Obsidian Citadel as we speak!
<Give Wrathion his tab.>
(Not Paying His Tab) Wrathion: What's this? ... My TAB? --paid in full?
(Not Paying His Tab) Wrathion: I'm being kicked out? Ridiculous!
Left says: Alright, prince. Time to go home.
Right says: Thank you for covering the tab. We got him from here.
At the moment, the quest rewards
Destino Incapsulato
, 70x
Fiocchi Imprevedibili
, and an item that grants 30 reputation with Soridormi - Nozdormu's consort, who seems to play an important role in the new
Time Rifts world event
.
