Echo has now seen into the Mythic phase, showing off its mechanics!
Mythic Jailer Secret Phase Mechanics
As
previously speculated
, the

are in fact in the phase!
These are the brand new mechanics:
Peine capitale
- The Jailer marks a player for death, inflicting 20 Shadow damage every 2 sec, growing in intensity over 30 sec and killing the player upon expiration. Upon removal, the player releases dark energy at nearby locations that apply Death Sentence to players struck. If the energy fails to hit at least one player, Death Sentence is applied to all players. Gaining two applications of Death Sentence kills players instantly.
Enchaînement de météores
- The Jailer swings his flail in a huge arc, inflicting 1236560 Physical damage split evenly between all players in front of him. All players hit are knocked back. The main target takes 500% increased Physical damage for 50 sec.
Health
Unlike previously predicted, the boss only heals to 24.4% health (rather than healing 24% which would leave it at 34%) with a 6.8 million absorb shield via
Bouclier de vie déviée
. However, this still works out to the ~37 million damage speculated.
Since the boss starts at 24%, execute might be a major factor in this final burn!
Returning Mechanics
The returning mechanics from other phases are the following:
Rune de damnation
- The bomb where you have to jump into a hole to not blow up your friends, with the bomb knocking you back out of the hole.

- A small knockback

- Large circles that kill any player inside when the pillars land.

represents an enrage on the field as there are only a limited number of holes to jump the bombs into.
Death Sentence

is a brand new mechanic in the Secret phase.

- The Jailer marks a player for death, inflicting 20 Shadow damage every 2 sec, growing in intensity over 30 sec and killing the player upon expiration. If the energy fails to hit at least one player, Death Sentence is applied to all players. Gaining two applications of Death Sentence kills players instantly.
Debuff Description
- Inflicts increasing Shadow damage every 2 sec. Instantly slain upon expiration or reapplication of Death Sentence. Unleashes a volley of 2 Death Sentence upon removal.
Here's how this mechanic works:
The Jailer applies this debuff to 1 player for 30 seconds.
If the debuff times out or a player acquires two stacks of the debuff, the player immediately dies.
This debuff is a Magic debuff that can be dispelled by a Magic dispel.
When dispelled, two soak circles will appear on the platform.
Soaking a circle will apply a stack of the debuff.
Not soaking a circle will apply a stack of the debuff to the entire raid.
From this, the best way to handle this mechanic will likely be to dispel just before the debuff expires (30 seconds) causing the debuff to split and acquired by two new players. When these two players have their debuff close to expiring (30 seconds), they need to be dispelled again which will cause the debuff to split and caught by 4 players, and so on and so forth.
This represents an enrage on the phase as the debuff will exponentially scale with time and dispels.
30 seconds: 1 debuff.
1 minute: 2 debuffs.
1.5 minutes: 4 debuffs.
2 minutes: 8 debuffs.
2.5 minutes: 16 debuffs.
There are further complications such as the debuff actually dealing damage which may cause healing problems at the 16 debuff phase and figuring out how you're going to dispel 8 debuffs at once (otherwise having to stagger them and shorten your enrage timer).
Meteor Cleave
This mechanic seems straightforward. It's a split damage soak in front of the boss aimed directly at the active tank that knocks back players hit.

However, based on Echo's attempt, it looks like this
CANNOT
be soloed as Naowh tried solo'ing the cleave and it seemed to kill the entire raid. This likely means that it can't be solo'ed and the group must soak it which may be difficult as players are out with bombs during this time.
Also, it deals physical damage, sorry priests.
Tormented Echo: Defile
In the Secret Phase,
Tourment
has an additional upgrade. Instead of spawning an add like in Phase 3, each of the reverbs now summons a small pool of Defile.
Defile, defile everywhere!
Enrage
The question then comes to what the enrage of this phase will be. Will it be running out of players to soak the exponential scaling on
Peine capitale
? Or maybe, they'll run out of holes to put their
Rune de damnation
bombs into?
