Brackenhide Hollow will be one of the hardest dungeons to complete in time in Season 2, from dangerous non-boss-enemies, including numerous casters, to tough bosses and even scarier Disease and Poison effects, this dungeon has it all.
In today's tip, however, we will talk about pathing choices and how to effectively, not only save time but escape dire danger in Brackenhide Hollow.
Pathing BEFORE Hackclaw's War-Band
When navigating through the first area of the dungeon, you want to always engage mobs closer to the
Meat Storages
simply because you need to free
5
Tuskarrs in order to activate the first boss. This is where a healthy chunk of your overall count should be as most of the mobs are stacked together, which allows for much easier AoE. Below you can find a preliminary route of what works great with uncoordinate (pug) groups and few tips on the way:

Chasseur flèche-d'os
will be one of the higher priority targets, not only because of its unavoidable damage on random targets,
Tir
, but also because of its
Trait d’os
, dealing high initial damage to a random player and leaving a tough Bleed affect afterwards. Avoid triggering its
Piège toxique
at all costs to prevent you from being one-shotted.
Beware of
Fléau-de-guerre des fougères
and its
Tactiques de la meute
aura, "empowering" every other nearby mob. Interrupt
Ricanement ignoble
at all costs to prevent your group from being mass-feared.
Focus the
Totem putrechant
coming from
Parle-putréfaction
. This is the highest priority target in the dungeon as not only can he empower nearby
Mystique griffe-ruse
with his totem, but will also have a single-target high damage spell,
Afflux de putréfaction
, and a
Explosion flétrissante
Disease effect. The Withering Disease effect will stack and it will make this dungeon a hell of a journey if you don't remove it quickly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
During the course of the dungeon, you will find several locations where a
Chaudron de putréfaction
is present. In order to activate it,
one of your team members
must have at least
25
skills in Dragon Isles Alchemy.
Once you activate the
Chaudron de putréfaction
, each of your party members can collect their
Pourriture purifiée
brew that can be used to clear one Disease of your choice (use the extra action button to trigger it). Especially useful against
Explosion flétrissante
Disease effect.
Upon consumption, the
Pourriture purifiée
will disappear and the only way to get it again is if you get back to the
Chaudron de putréfaction
and collect it.
Pathing AFTER Hackclaw's War-Band
After you have defeated the first boss of the dungeon, you will have a choice between going to the left (
Tir-Tripes
) or to the right (
Arbec
). A standard route for Mythic+ will be going towards
Arbec
(Right side)
as the trash there is significantly easier compared to the left side route. Yes, the path to the left is much shorter towards the next boss but the non-boss-enemies there are really tough to handle and you will enter in a dare danger if you choose so, hence why we strongly recommend you to head to the right.
Below you can find a preliminary route of what works great with uncoordinate (pug) groups and a few tips on the way:

Beware of
Chêne flétri
's
Essence de putréfaction
aura,
Piétinement
ground ability, and
Invocation de flagellantes
. He is the most dangerous non-boss enemy here, so engage with caution!
Façonneuse fougerobe
will occasionally cast
Invocation de flagellantes
(non-interruptible), collect the aggro and quickly focus them! Interrupt its
Toucher putréfiant
spell once you see it casting.
Pathing AFTER Treemouth
If you were following our tips, by now you should have the majority of your trash count, leaving you with
2
bosses and roughly ~25% non-boss-enemies to defeat in order to time this dungeon. Here is when you want to skip as many mobs as you can not only to save time but to escape risky situations. Using
Potion du zéphyr assourdi
,
Voleur
's
Voile de dissimulation
or clever way to avoid mobs is going to be beneficial to you. At last, remember that just before Season 2 started, Blizzard nerfed the overall trash count of the dungeon from
750
going down to
723
. Here is what you should do until the rest of the dungeon:

After defeating
Pull 28
you can walk over the top of the hill and avoid the remaining of the mobs. Immediately after
Pull 33
you can skip the remaining trash mobs using
Potion du zéphyr assourdi
,
Voleur
's
Voile de dissimulation
or
Prêtre
's
Apaisement
