Wowhead's Skills and Rotation guide will present the Skill choices needed to excel as a Walking Arsenal Barbarian in endgame content, as well as recommended rotations for these skills. We will also discuss Weapon Techniques, the Barbarian Unique Class Mechanic, and how best to leverage that with this build.

Walking Arsenal Barbarian Skills in Diablo 4 Season 5
Barbarians are lethal, heavy-hitting warriors that specialize in melee combat. As we are mostly limited to dealing damage to close-range enemies, improving our mobility is critical to both our offensive capabilities and survivability. The Walking Arsenal Barbarian is an explosive powerhouse of destruction that utilizes all weapons at our disposal to rip, bash, and tear our way through Lilith’s armies, and we look quite good doing it. This build features three incredibly strong damage-dealing abilities on top of a high-mobility opener and two powerful defensive skills, leaving us with a well-rounded playstyle capable of speeding through all types of content.

Walking Arsenal Barbarian Skill Tree
The Standard Endgame Build for Walking Arsenal Barbarian is the build you'll be using most of the time for a wide variety of content -- Tree of Whispers, Helltides, dungeons, and most other normal activities. This is an endgame build guide, meaning you shouldn’t be concerned with skill assignment order as you should already have all your skill points. In the event you are building your character for endgame content before reaching level 50, get all of your active skills as quickly as possible before moving on to other options.
Walking Arsenal Barbarian Rotation
The Walking Arsenal Barbarian rotation is exactly what you would expect from this weapon master build, frequently swapping between weapons to maximize uptime while dealing heavy single-target and AoE damage. We rely on killing blows for frequent cooldown resets and for Berserking uptime and for Vulnerable application. is probably our most satisfying ability, and allows us to use it very often. It is worth emphasizing how important precision and accuracy are in this build, as missing with or failing to maintain uptime will render this build suboptimal, clunky, and underwhelming.
– This is your opener that should be used to generate enough Fury to continue with your rotation. Critical Strikes grant Berserking, providing short increases to damage and Movement Speed. We use our One-Handed Weapons for this ability for .
– This ability deals solid AoE damage and grants us highly sustainable Berserking uptime. makes this Core ability apply Vulnerable when used after as well. We use our Two-Handed Slashing Weapon for this ability for .
– This heavy hitter provides strong damage to enemies in front of us, particularly with . We need to land killing blows with this ability to reset its cooldown, though it should be used as frequently as possible in single-target and Boss encounters. We use our Two-Handed Bludgeoning Weapon for this ability for , even if you are running an Aspect instead of the recommended Unique.
– This Ultimate does both direct damage and damage over time and has a significantly greater range than the rest of our abilities. reduces the ability’s cooldown passively, making it particularly strong in this build.
– This Shout grants Movement Speed, Fury Generation, Unstoppable, and Fortify, making it a strong offensive and defensive ability. This ability should be used frequently and situationally.
– This is our strongest defensive cooldown, largely thanks to the Unstoppable and damage mitigation provided by and the Movement Speed we receive from . This ability should be used frequently and situationally.

Modifiers:
This is our Fury generator that will apply Berserking frequently once you have optimal gear and Aspects. It serves as an excellent gap closer as well and can be used to advance on enemies a short distance away when beginning combat.
The Berserking provided by our chosen modifier is more beneficial than the alternative of applying Bleeding.

Weapon Assignment: Two-Handed Slashing Weapon
Modifiers:
deals moderate AoE damage while providing us with both a Stun opportunity and easily maintained Berserking. This ability applies Vulnerable whenever it is used after due to , helping to maintain uptime started by from our opener.
We take over as the Berserking is more beneficial than the limited stacks we would receive due to our rotation and frequent use of .

The synergy with makes this an incredibly strong mobility cooldown, while the increased Fury Generation, Unstoppable, and Fortify make this a well-rounded offensive and defensive ability as well.
We take over as the provided Fortify is more useful to this build than the bonus Fury and Fury Generation. This modifier choice is one of the more subjective skill selections of this build, but sacrificing survivability for additional Fury will be very apparent in more challenging content.

This skill is the strongest solution to our survivability struggles, providing self-healing and damage mitigation in the form of a significant Barrier that interacts well with to give us a sizeable damage increase.
This is another subjective modifier choice. The self-healing provided by is objectively stronger than the Fortify granted by , though either of these are solid options.

Weapon Assignment: Two-Handed Bludgeoning Weapon
Modifiers:
deals massive damage regardless of interactions, but and make it this build’s biggest single source of damage. We use our Two-Handed Bludgeoning Weapon for this ability for , of course, but also because it’s much more difficult to achieve that incredibly satisfying

We take over as we already have great Berserking uptime from and the instant source of Fury is helpful due to how frequently we use .

deals outstanding damage to enemies in and out of melee range, features an incredibly satisfying animation, and really helps solidify this build’s class fantasy as an unstoppable force of death and destruction. provides strong bonuses to Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage, while capitalizes off this build’s frequent weapon swapping to massively reduce this Ultimate’s cooldown.

This Passive is very strong for all Barbarian builds, giving us a sizeable increase in our damage output while helping to bolster our defenses against enemies that are out of reach.

This Key Passive is one of the more interesting new mechanics added to the Diablo franchise but is rarely utilized due to its demanding nature and the incredible strength of for Core-focused Barbarian builds. and its resulting playstyle result in many of this build’s most beneficial synergies, including and .
Hardcore Changes
: Between our abilities, gear and aspect choices, and gems and consumables, the Walking Arsenal Barbarian build is already heavily focused on survivability. This build does not require any specific skill changes for Hardcore play.
Walking Arsenal Barbarian Weapon Techniques Selections
As far as Weapon Assignments go, we use our One-Handed Weapons for , Two-Handed Slashing Weapon for , and Two-Handed Bludgeoning Weapon for . These are the most logical choices based on ability importance and damage output by weapon, and we need each weapon type assigned to an active ability to fully benefit from .
Our chosen Weapon Expertise should always be Two-Handed Axe as it is the single strongest option, and we want to prioritize a Two-Handed Sword for our Two-Handed Slashing Weapon due to the inherent Critical Strike Damage Affix.
