Class Design on the 7.1.5 PTR
When the 7.1.5 PTR went up earlier this week, we had
spell changes from datamining
but no specific class changes in the
official patch notes
. As such, there was some confusion as to the intended changes and class directions for specializations that seemed unfinished.
Today, Blizzard explained that the 7.1.5 PTR so far only shows roughly half of the mechanical changes, with more of them coming in the next build. Once the mechanical changes are in a good place, adjustments to overall performance will follow.
You can read up on the spell changes so far in our
PTR datamining

7.1.5 PTR: New Spell Animations, Artifact Knowledge Catch-Up, WoW Token for Battle.net Balance
7.1.5 PTR coverage continues with a look at new spell animations, a way to catch up Artifact Knowledge on alts, and the WoW Token counting towards Battle.net balance.
7.1.5 Holiday Updates: Micro-Holidays and World Events
Between the 7.1.5 PTR introducing new micro-holidays and
WoW's 12th Anniversary
, we thought it was a good time to summarize what we know about all the upcoming holiday changes coming in 2017 to WoW.
Micro-holidays are small holidays, not tied to any meta-achievement, that celebrate different parts of Azeroth's culture and history such as
Call of the Scarab
.
The traditional two-week holidays have also received a steady stream of new toys for the upcoming year.
Items from the Love is in the Air and Midsummer bosses now show as "scaling with level"--looks like Blizzard is making good on the promise to open up the fights to lower-level players.
