Wondering if it would reduce the lag in Valdrakken
would be almost perfect if they removed the pink glow, but a great toy nonetheless
this will be great in the moments that ppl are on top of the npc that you need to talk
I didn't notice a huge bump to my fps in Valdrakken, probably because the mounts are still there. I wished there was an option in wow to reduce character and mounts models quality of other players when it is above a certain threshold of players.
Pretty useless since almost everybody is always mounted anyways. Wish they had removed the mounts as well, that way you could see NPCs and items you want to interact with that are blocked by tons of players (and their mounts) Or Blizzard could make more areas not allowed to mount, problem, solved.
Great for when you're at a summoning stone
Good, getting closer to becoming more of a single player game
As long as it doesn't work on mounts, it's mostly useless, at least for what I wanted.
Yay now I can see my teammate at the summon stone!
Or you can use these scripts (add as macros for easy access) to hide/unhide players. Certain restrictions apply, such as mounts not being hidden if I recall correctly, but it works wonders in super crowded areas or if you want to take screenshots without too much noise.Hide Players: /script C_CVar.SetCVar("componentTexLoadLimit", 0); C_CVar.SetCVar("graphicsTextureResolution", 1); C_CVar.SetCVar("graphicsProjectedTextures", 0); C_CVar.SetCVar("graphicsParticleDensity", 0); C_CVar.SetCVar("farclip", 0); RestartGx();Show Players:/script C_CVar.SetCVar("componentTexLoadLimit", 16); C_CVar.SetCVar("graphicsTextureResolution", 2); C_CVar.SetCVar("graphicsProjectedTextures", 1); C_CVar.SetCVar("graphicsParticleDensity", 3); C_CVar.SetCVar("farclip", 6000); RestartGx();Show/Hide All Names Toggle:/run local n="UnitNameNPC"local x=1-GetCVar(n)SetCVar(n,x)SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyPlayerName",x)SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyPlayerName",x)SetCVar("UnitNameHostileNPC",x)SetCVar("UnitNameEnemyMinionName",x)SetCVar("UnitNameFriendlyMinionName",x)And if you'd like to show/hide yourself as well, this is a simple toggle command for that:/console showplayer
