This is a considerable rotational change for Fury Warriors. The spec's opener in M+ is no longer Charge --> Release Spirit
pogi like that, good change
Dances in Fury Warrior
I hope this will make us keep threat in open world against tanking pet. Nothing sadder than seeing your aggro lost to a damn turtle or bear.
Still not enough for levelers. A fresh new lvl 10 arcane mage can steal aggro with 2 arcane blasts hits from most lvl 20+ tanks. A lvl 40+ tank is going to have a bad time with low lvls in his team. Perhaps it's better to bring back the threat system from legion.
It's not enough.
Why did they even nerf threat to begin with? Everything was fine but for SL they massively nerfed tank's ability to hold threat.
Just bring back threat on Legion levels and be done with it
I don't think it's enough. Blizzards rationale is that 'tanks should be able to hold aggro on their main target', but that was rarely the issue. It's that you want to do 10+ mob pulls in dungeons, but this still will not make you hold aggro. Maybe a targeted buff to the threat generated by each tanks AoE spell (like Throw Glaive or Heroic Throw) would solve the issue (or a stronger buff to overall aggro generation.
Maybe my dk won't die after letting my buffed up dragon breath hit like 20 mobs
I still think for several tanks there are many inconsistencies between threat generation due to different damage profiles or rotational structures. When looking at DH and Bear we have tanks that have strong upfront ST and AOE threat generation that doesn't require a large amount of target swapping or rotational changed to balance with survivability.Pre tier set BDK suffers the problem with threat generation VS survivability. On average they would require more GCDs or CDs to do the same job as other tanks. Prot Warrior usually needed to take Ravager to stand a chance keeping threat without spending a good amount or Rage on Revenge.Having Threat be directly tied to tank damage is problematic when we have DPS who can easily out threat us due to high burst damage. I honestly think threat Gen should be tuned even higher and Taunt treat generation should be increased farther for raid settings. Tank DPS has been a bit of a crap show this expansion.
Too little too late. I've expected at least 25% threat buff.
I like the current threat levels. I'm playing Havoc DH and our m+ team is somewhat fixed, always a guardian tank. It does not really matter if it is a big or small pull, but often it happens (if I go all in) that I get aggro. Off course it is **** that that happens when you are melee, but we, as melee, always had to wait 3 sunders before start to damage. If someone is hitting you and someone else comes in and is hitting you harder, would you not get more angry with that person that just came in?It gives another dimension to playing the game. But then again, this is just my 2 cents.Just hope that this threat boost does not take that away.
