Now I'm confused about demons...
So if this is "our" Archimonde...we're defeating him before his defeat at Hyjal? They really didn't think this through did they?
Sounds a lot like he has no idea how the demons work either.
let hope this isn't another one of those "lets just have it for the sake of having it" things in the lore that come back to bite them in the arse
I thought they said this was an AU.
It might be an alternative universe, but they are implying that since there is only one Archimonde (or one Sargeras), even though we have defeated him before, he's able to be summoned back. Hyjal was only a setback.Just wait till we have to fight undead Garrosh...
These tweets really don't fill me with confidence in the writing team.We all knew the whole 'Alternate Universe' thing was just going to be totally ridiculous, but now this? Did someone spill coffee all over the Lore documentation?
Ehh... These guys have nothing to do with lore and how they wrote the message makes it seem kinda trolly... I'd say take this 'lore' with a heavy pinch of salt.
My question is why do they resurrect Mannoroth if he is "supposed" to go back to the nether lol.
Think of it like this guys; Anyone who plays a warlock will know that when you summon your demon it is always the same demon. This is because it is a specific demon that you have contracted into your service. If that demon should die in our realm, its soul returns to the nether. Should you decide to re-summon your demon you'll notice that it still has the same name. I believe what Blizzard is trying to say is that this applies to all demons. So Archimonde and all other demons remain in The Nether until they are called upon. The dev said, "The Nether transcends all realities." So you have to think of "The Nether" like a room that is completely detached from every timeline/universe. This room contains nothing in it except demons. When a warlock summons a demon, a door will appear in that room and allow a demon to cross over into the warlock's reality. Thus the timeline/universe on the other side is irrelevant because no matter what universe the warlock summons the demon from, it is always summoning it from the same "Nether". There are conflicting issue like multiple warlocks on a single server having a demon with the same name summoned at the same time. However I am unaware as to if multiple lesser demons can share the same name.
Surprise. They have no idea what they're doing or talking about. Again.
I remember this scene from The Simpson. sorry, I couldn't find it on English but some of you will remember the scene. XDhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vB2SY31qrHw
I'd be more excited about these darken races if my latency would let me get more than one less than gold on any of them.
