people have been doing this in world pvp since legion, but it only now gets fixed? that's hilarious
sometimes i hit a critter just so i look strong on Skada. never thought of this as an actual trick! If you pre-pot with shocking disclosure or anything else that deals damage, it helps to kill the critters near the Font beforehand because critters put you in combat :P
the question now is will blizzard issue out disqualifications for M+ titles if people were caught doing this.
Recording a log of a exploit. People are not so smart these days.
I think linking creatures and then exploiting the weak critters is within shadow priest class fantasy and should not be punished. They can change it if they want but I think that is how a spell like that would be used if wow was the real world.
If I had a dime for every time an MMO with a damage transfer bug, I had have 20 cents. Which isn't alot but weird it's happened twice. ESO also has a damage transfer bug in PvP. In ESO PvP, abilities do less damage to players, but they have a bug where if you attack NPCs with aoe, nearby players are hit with the unmodified amount, often one-shotting them.
Just remove critters from M+ lol.
Why do these spells even copy amplified damage like this. Beast cleave and bladeflurry work in a similar manner but can't be used in this way to transfer damage taken increases.
Just fix it and while you're at it ban the top 1% of shadow priests for a while xD.
Is it *REALLY* an exploit, or just a major dev oversight that just got noticed then used? The spells were actually being ised as intended on engageable targets.. Another thing, think back to when augmentation was implemented, that was a ridiculously hilarious display of blizzard being sloppy on attention to detail.
