I would have fired my employees for that as well. Putting aside the problems that blizzard has, there is no room in the work place that that kind of behavior. You dont want to work from home anymore? Sounds like a you problem. Go find a job that lets you. Yet another example of how unions do not help the work environment.
Yeah like, I popped off at Blizzard too for ending their work at home practices, but I don't work there, so they can't fire me.As an aside, the anti work-at-home propaganda is everywhere, and you should cast shade at any company demanding office work where it makes literally no sense. Unless you work for that company and want to continue working there, that is.
I worked at a really awful place once. My boss was unreasonable, rude and just outright ignored any problem you brought up to him. He gave you bad hours, the pay was as low as it could possibly go and he would follow you around to make sure you weren't being lazy or stealing. It was an incredibly uncomfortable work environment. He would also shout at workers, right out in the open with everyone watching, about once a week. He'd call you stupid if you didn't know something you weren't trained to do. He made you feel worthless. I spent 4 months there then left. I got a new job, my new place had a regular run of the mill manager. They were fine when things were fine, tough when things called for toughness and they could have a laugh with you as long as you were doing your work up to standard at the same time. My hours were better, my pay was better, and if I needed to ask a question, take a day off or whatever, I was trained, I was given time off, or told logical, reasonable reasons for why I couldn't and given alternatives.Moral of the story? Stop working for places that you think are worthy of a full blown, public, explicative ridden rant. Bad workplaces die, they don't get changed by ranting - you're also not in a position to change billion dollar companies as a QA tester. You're a grunt - go get a job somewhere else - Walmart, for example. You also being an awful person, loudly, for all to see, doesn't do anything but make us all think you look stupid. You're not a cow. You can leave - so leave.
Odd because Bobby Kotick has threatened people that worked under him, physically, and he's still there. Funny how they will take the use of 'profane language' while under protest more seriously than actual harm coming to employees.
i mean i know we trash Blizzard! but come on this is just ridiculous, if u trash talk the place you work of course there will be consequence.I know every Centennial Millennial Gen X Gen y Gen Z and what no, think they can QQ and get paid anyway. But good lord.Blizzard is on the right to fire someone that is trash talking their companie. They get terminate so that mean they get paid.
