As a Fury Warrior, you have piqued my interest
Dang would've been really good if they let it through but it's understandable. Wait 8 months for a 1-week chance to get a ring that will be bis every x-pac? As good as it sounds, it would've been unhealthy for the game. The change although is kinda okay. Maybe? Let the sims decide I guess.
Remember when everyone was ecstatic they would be able to use the old effect now cause of timewalking? Yeah, it was too hard to tell for so many that it will get reworked. People don't seem to learn.
fun detected... removedgame play improvement... wait for another patch but not on release fix in game issues properly impacting player enjoyment for years....... lol you are kidding thats QoL improvement we can use as content later.poorly treat staff and make in game adjustments overnight because you fkd up.... patch tonight....This game
blizz only making it worse. Is this their new selling point?
I think it would be interesting if instead of the (Requires level X or below) tag, they introduced a Timewalking tag. Then at the end of each expansion they could choose certain items and just change their effects to only be effective while you are Timewalking i.e. while you are doing Timewalking Instances (Dungeons or Raids) or while you are in a zone where the respective Timewalking rep buff (Sign of X) is active. It would be much cleaner and much easier to understand how it works while also allowing over time for fairly insane timewalking item sets to be build.
Me being an Enh cham got very interested. Particularly good with the windfury totem build as melee attacks represent a larger portion of dps. Still mega interesting with Wolf build anyways.
Old content gear shouldn't be at same item level of Newest content gears. i only have 1 week every few months to grab couple of gears and it's gone.... so weird
Rogues and Warriors will be salivating over this IF this is true.
Imagine making a BIS item be available via an event that's up 3-4 weeks per year. I mean, why not? This is Blizzard we're talking about and their foresight is akin to a lobotomized individual burying their head in the sand.
The ideal fun experience in WoW now is to ignore these random changes and only subscribe for X.2 patches or X.3 patches and never preorder the expansions, for the simple fact that the games are never complete or quality-of-life enough to be playable in the same vein the players have known in the past. If you're one of the many frustrated players, just understand that when you play a new expansion on launch, you're essentially paying for an unfinished product. If you went to the store and bought Mario Party 7, or any stand alone game - what are you buying? A completely finished new edition of the game with no subscription, no time-gating, and no frustration. You're 100% free to play the game at your own pace and complete it as you want. There's no renown, there's no hard-caps, there's no covenant restrictions, there's no follower mission timers, there's no weekly reset, there's no daily reset, there's none of that.So to all the people complaining about these things - why not just resub every year and a half when the expansions are in their final and most polished stage? By that time, all of the catch-up gear is proportionate and meaningful, all of the "pay and wait" systems have closer to zero impact on your progression, and you'll still be current-tier for the end-boss, which is the main reason Wrath of the Lich King was so popular anyway - everyone wanted to kill The Lich King.
Honestly, it could be literally a single-digit number at 246 and it would still be strictly better than other Crit/Haste rings of equivalent item level.Free damage for just equipping the ring is still free damage, at the end of the day.
