I would expect Azshara to be 8.2, but I don't expect them to focus on Azshara for the entire conference. At least 4 new dungeons in 8.2. I would expect them to reveal 8.3, or at least hint at it. I think there will be 2 patches for Old Gods, with N'zoth, C'thun, and Yogg-Saron being 8.3, and I hope they will add a twist and bring back Y'shaarj from the dead as 8.4, resulting in a massive world revamp.Obviously, there will be Gilneas and Goblin revamp at 8.2; with Worgen and Goblins getting their reskins/revamp, perhaps changing how Worgens work (maybe allowing permanent Gilnean form?). Genn will probably die at the capital of Gilneas, the city where "it all began", how cliche, Blizzard. Azshara being the 'Gul'dan' of the expansion, meaning, she will introduce the old gods into the world, setting up for 8.3 and Ny'alotha, like Gul'dan introduced the Legion into Azeroth. There will be a new transformation in Azerite gear, where something unique changes our Azerite gear, and we can upgrade them in unique ways through the items acquired in Nazjatar, which is caused by our fight with Azshara.Silvermoon will be revamped in 8.2.5, along with new warfronts. Patch 8.3/8.3.5 has no new warfronts when we realise that the Old Gods were corrupting us the whole time, and causing us to fight against each other. Finally, when patch 8.4 unleashes Y'shaarj, we realise that there is no way we can stop him; he is too powerful. So, with the aid of Azeroth herself, we have to use our Azerite necklaces to empower Azeroth to help us defeat Y'shaarj, and, our Azerite necklace will be depleted in the process of destroying this massive enemy.
Other predictions:-Zandalari/Kul Tiran allied races get full information and a release date revealed.-The next two allied races get revealed, but no more information is shown.-A major update to the Azerite system is revealed for 8.2.-WoW Classic gets a rough launch date.
Can't wait to watch the future of wow. :)
I'm going to be straight. If there's no major Diablo announcement, You can stick a fork in the franchise.I still play D3 RoS. I'm in what was a major clan. And I can tell you most people are done with waiting 3-4 years between major content. The prevailing opinion is that Blizzard is giving up on it to focus on the Esports area. And I have chatted with several people in my clan that say they are done if they don't see something meaningful at Blizzcon. And to be honest, I'm with them. I love the Diablo franchise, but if they aren't willing to put the effort into keeping the game fresh and relevant, then I'm going to to put my time into something else.Edit: Well, they dropped the ball and as I said, peeps are highly PO'ed. Tbh, a mobile RPG is pretty much a slap in the face to people who have supported the franchise since D1.
Ok here we go with the Blizzcon prediction post for specifically World of Warcraft. I have some interest in Diablo, but I’m going to focus on WoW!First off, I’m going to hope for and predict that WoW is setting into a pattern of alternating Blizzcon foci between announcing a new expansion and presenting a road map of the expansion announced at the previous Blizzcon. The “what’s next” panel capped off by the “... and then, Argus” type moment will become a big hype point for every year that doesn’t announce a new expansion, and this year will follow this pattern!-First, the obvious: Patch 8.1.5 will introduce Warlords of Draenor timewalking! I can also see them bringing back/revamping the brawler’s guild!-The raid cadence is hard to predict given the story because unlike Legion, we’re getting a mini raid, BFA’s “Trial of Valor” in the form of the crucible of storms (CoS) *after* BFA’s nighthold, that being the battle of dazar’alor (BDA). I want to say that (as much as it pains me) the naval allied races will come with 8.1.5, and their unlock will require potentially only the final boss of BDA or CoS, even if only on LFR.-8.2 will involve a new land mass and like Taliesin I’m throwing my hat in with Naz’Jatar, whether it’s under water or raised up Atlantis-style. We will face *but not kill* Azshara in a raid. She will escape somehow.-We’ll get flight in 8.2, of course. Between that and heirloom updates, the floodgate for alt armies will burst at this point, with copious catch-up mechanisms in play by then.-I predict that over the course of BFA we’ll get heritage armor for every race that hasn’t had a warfront themed to them, and so if we get a gilneas warfront announced at blizzcon we will not get worgen heritage armor... that said, one of those two items will get announced at blizzcon alongside a goblin and worgen model revamp.-Whether it’s 8.2 or 8.3, we’re getting the “snakes and foxes” allied race pairing. I could see this happening as early as 8.2, but it might be later.-The war campaign will continue for all of BFA, telling the story of the descent into war... and back out again. I don’t know what form it will take, but I’m firm on my belief that, as the “villain on the box,” we don’t get to 9.0 with the current factional status quo intact. The biggest clue here will be in the wording of the 8.3 tease, and speaking of...-8.3 will be when we are forced to listen to Magni because holy crap N’Zoth is making his move to kill/corrupt Azeroth and we’re going to Ny’alotha, which is unveiled to be in the shadow lands, and Sylvanas or what she knows or does will potentially be key in bridging us there, as may Vol’Jin. All the death stuff we’ve been sensing below the surface will come to a head and we will somehow drown ourselves in a circle of stars to face N’Zoth. The Drustvar death zone whose name escapes me at the moment will be another zone in the shadowlands, much like the multi-part Argus.-If the 8.3 tease includes verbiage like “what does it matter who wins the faction war if the planet dies,” again, expect faction-mechanical changes before or at 9.0. If anything can or will change the faction divide, it’s emphasizing the stakes at risk by us fighting amongst ourselves while Magni waves his arms for attention in the background. No 3rd faction (unless there is a 4th and by that I mean two factions within both the alliance and horde), no dissolution or dismantling of either faction, but if they go there with the “heavy stakes” emphasis, expect trolls and dwarves in the same dungeon groups by or at 9.0.
CLASSIC: You get the beta, and maybe a bit of info on it they will not talk about any pricing just yet, in the opening, and if they talk about it at all in the panel it will not be more than 2 minutes like the demo does much of the talking. Also no release date or anything for Classic yet!
Mechagnome not junker
If we're getting multiple new Allied Races and the Taunka aren't one of them I'll be pissed. They have been in the game for nearly a decade, joined the Horde and yet you never see any of them as NPC's outside of Northrend. Make it happen Blizzard!
My predictions are:1. WoW Classic release date will be end of year 2019 and Launch will probably coincide with Blizzcon 2019.2. Patch 8.2 and Queen Azshara in-depth panel.3. Patch 8.1 will be just mentioned.4. Patch 8.3 micdrop revealing massive lore thing (probably N'zoth and Ny'alotha).5. Two new allied races.6. Silvermoon revamp and there probably will be a warfront there.7. Gilneas will be a warfront.8. New battlegrounds.9. PvP overhaul (vendors and how itemization works).10. More customization options (including heritage armor for all races), probably tattoos that have to be earned somehow in-game.11. New Worgen and Goblin models. And then next year they will announce a remaster of ALL Warcraft RTS titles for the 25th anniversary of Warcraft, which coincidentally was first released in November as well (November 1994). Don't forget. You read it first here and from me.
Just making a prediction out of my ass of what I think will happen by next expansion: Horde/Alliance/Undead factions.I think this because of the new races being added to the forsaken. Also, it would be a huge new game changing mechanic, which Blizzard seems to like to do every other expansion. I think it fits nicely with being a twist on the Sylvanas/Garrosh similar arcs, with Sylvanas being usurped or leaving on her own. There is already much tension in the datamined lore regarding the other horde leaders and Sylvanas as well. Sylvanas has always put the Forsaken and herself before the rest of the Horde. Death has been a huge theme this expansion as well.
I think we are going to hear about major system changes in 8.28.1 was being worked on before BFA even launched. While they probably waited for live numbers and feedback to tune and polish systems, they were blind as to how the azurite system would be acceptedLet's just agree that the whole Azurite system of leveling the heart to unlock traits on the helm, shoulders and chest has been less than embraced by a large part of the community. As such, it was far too late for 8.1 to do much more than play with the balance and try fix the system. 8.2 would be a patch fully based on feedback from live. As such if we are going to see fundamental change (and it seems like the player base wants fundamental changes in the azurite system) it would be in 8.2 and I expect them to roll out with something big. My guess: We are going to have the neck open up similar to the old artifact and blizz will bring back the pathing system from legion. The heart will change traits based on spec and be basically a return of the artifact just in the neck slot.
Anyone want to join my Sethrak prayer circle?
I just want to see something exciting from the Diablo franchise. Be it D4 surprise announcement or d2 remaster, just hook us up with something...
