I wonder how often these artists have to reacquaint themselves with the software, and/or potentially learn how to use new tools. I'm sure it's a never ending process!
It's nice to see Blizzard pulling back the curtain to let us see the art and design process that goes on behind the scenes. I still think of last year's dungeon design and the boss fight that came out of that panel every time I run that dungeon.
Out of all the fields... art is the one that I believe to be a real forte at Blizzard.WoW keeps looking better and better (well, other than some clipping slip-ups with the new models), and the BfA zones are simply stunning. Can't wait till my freedom to explore is given back and I can fly around and gawk at those beautiful vistas without having to constantly fall into terrain death traps that require HS or suicide, and without duking it out with hordes of aggresive mobs that chase me through half the zone.
Totally gonna share this with my brother who is a graphic design studentNot the biggest fan of wow he used to have a character I would level for him but he is super into all this stuff and I will share this page with him ty wowhead
Rise of Azshara is so sick, glad to finally see her naga form ingame! :D
Really well done. Looks like there will be a diff take on underwater zones than from Vashj'ir, which should be interesting.
I love seeing the behind the scenes stuff, thanks
Despite people clowning on how "cartoony" WoW's art is, it's still the most amazing part of this entire franchise. The artists on the Warcraft team can make even the most mundane and boring locations feel alive and beautiful.
Thanks for the hard work you put in the game.
Watching how they make they art in the game is awesome!
The artists always do a phenomenal job.
damn, these artists are incredible! Would kill for a small amount of that talent!
Always nice to see these behind the scenes looks at things we take for granted in WoW(sound/music/worldbuilding)
I wonder where they draw the line as far as how detailed the make the models; at a certain point there can be a lot of slowness if models are overly detailed.
Much talent. Mad respect!
Amazing artworks. I want to see other scenes too
Beautiful. Always get surprised by the art, every expansion.
Excellent work!
GOOD JOB
