cool
THANK GOD. Hated the font so much.
I hope they change the UI too
That sans serif font is/was hideous, so glad they're changing it. It looked Entirely out of place.
Make it comic sans
i want to be able to move around the item box display kind of like the move anything addon on retail and classic wow ui as an option would be nice its hard to look at item on far left have to squint to read it game needs a font size increase for those that cant read well,
people crying over a font is very hilarious tooI dont really care either way, its just a fontAlso the UI is totally fine, only things I would ask is a gem tab.
Would be nice if they showed what the new font looks like, but I guess they are saving it for the live stream on 4/20.
I'm pretty sure they abandoned Exocet because they didn't own it and had to pay a licensing fee. Way back in the Diablo 1 days people started using it for fan sites and such and Blizzard warned that it might cause trouble for them because a third party owned it, not them.Never heard of anyone getting a C&D over it, though.
I liked the exocet font the most, that to me is the most diablo. Sad to see it go.
The D3 font in that picture looks like a kid turned on "Times New Roman" and started typing in item names. That means it looks amateur. I don't recall any issues with the current font in D4. Being able to read the font at all times is the biggest factor. I think a skinny, serif font will not meet that factor.
I hope the change is not for everything. Stylized fonts are great for headlines and titles to provide a bit of flavour, but is a huge impediment to readability. I can't imagine how bad it will look if all the tooltips were also in this font.
Well, as long as it's not Exocet for everything... man that font is NOT suited to be the bulk of an interface's font AT ALL.But smaller font sizes work better with sans-serif fonts, so let's hope the adornments aren't too pronounced.
I now know what a serif is.

Messing with this font is the most corporate way to get in your own way. Stick with your artistic vision and give folks the option to opt out. How are they still goofing this stuff up?
I guess I'm in the minority here. I loved the font they used in beta because it was very readable for those of us with eyesight issues. I had no issues being able to read it and thought it was pleasing to the eye. I just hope the change they've made doesn't make it worse. Maybe it'll be OK.
The user should have a selection of fonts embedded in the game with the ability to increase the size as desired. Nothing worse than peddling a game to a user who skips the story or has to pick up everything because they can't read the font. I have to hook my computer up to a large screen TV to see half the stuff in games nowadays.
