Playing on the Beta, I have to say that BfA Fury is probably the most fun spec I've ever played. It feels a lot more active and skillful than the Legion version, while also being just as fast and furious. Probably the best part compared to Legion though is being able to deal real damage outside of cooldowns, and how much more fun hitting CD's feels with the changes to Recklessness.Makes me really glad I chose to reroll Warrior for Tomb, after years of playing a DK.
As a Warrior main for a long time, I've greatly lamented the fall from grace we had at the end of Pandaria. Warlords saw a beautiful rendition of Warrior gameplay with the inclusion of the OBSCENELY strong Gladiator/Wrist Cramp spec, but after the initial hype, Warrior kind of just...existed. We weren't special, we weren't unique other than holding two big weapons, and we really had no place in the groups except as fillers. Legion made it worse, especially with the undisputed FACT that you needed Convergence of Fates, or else you were objectively playing the wrong spec. Even then, Fury just plain out sucked; Arms did everything better up until Tomb of Sargeras unless you were so decked out in mythic Nighthold gear that you allowed yourself to be weaker just to change things up. Finally, with the Antorus raid, Fury became relevant again, though only as much as you were geared. The required stats are unforgiving, the RNG related to drops and rotation are incredibly unfair, and the feeling of playing the spec after using your cooldowns is just awful. They basically ruined Fury to the point of being on par with Legion Survival Hunters (though Fury was still worth taking as filler, unlike Survival). I dislike Arms, and I stay Fury simply because I remember the good times, and until I experienced the changes on the beta, I felt the good times would never come back. Boy was I happy when I was proven wrong. To quote the most memorable Blizzard character's line, "Hell, it's about time." Fury deserved this love after being neglected for so long. Mages, it's your turn soon! Hang on to hope!
As someone who mains a warrior (I am a really casual player tbh but hear me out nonetheless), seeing fury like this is truly amazing. I strongly suggest everyone lucky enough to be in Beta to make a warrior and try them out, or when prepatch launches make a trial version, the class fantasy of this spec is as on point as it can be. As mentioned above Rampage animation compresses with haste and that looks stunning. I remember casting it on beta for the first time and my char just pummeled that poor mob so fast I was like, whoa, hold up, what happened, pop open my character sheet and I see haste pumped to 46%, I mean, it really looks and feels FURIOUS. Add to that the return of sudden death, I don't know if that talent is part of any optimal build but seeing execute proc right when you disintegrated the last sorry foe with an avalanche of rampagious strikes is like, ok, wow. The gameplay is fast, engaging, you have buttons to press, fury has had epic animations since the revamp in legion so really, if you're wondering what class your new shiny maghar orc, dark iron, zandalari could be...well, look no further, truly, this is a pumped, crazy, raging berserker with a come at me bro attitude and a serious chip on his shoulder. But seriously, whatever you generally play, give this a shot, bottom line is, it's really fun and worth the time to try it out :)Potential side effects may include thick foaming at the mouth, increased vascularity and enraged epicness. Remember to chill :)
Soooo....Corejo says " Meat Cleaver really helps increase Enrage uptime during heavy AoE." but then lists it as one of the biggest letdowns....I'm confused...
I have to agree that Fury might be the most well designed spec that has ever existed at the moment. It has all these buttons but none of them compete and they all clearly compliment each other. It is actually a joy to play Fury at the moment, throw in Death Wish from the PVP talents and wow you can do some crazy damage!Disclaimer: Death Wish will also probably get you killed at some point, but that's part of the fantasy!
Well dang that's promising. I mained Fury for about the middle third of Legion, but it was mostly just frustrating. Guess I should log in to the beta one of these days.
The Fury changes are pretty good and the spec feels very smooth. My only complain would be the lower number of skills that makes decision making even less important than it was before. I kinda feel that the spec lacks complexity as it is almost impossible to hit the wrong skill during a fight. For that reason, I enjoy Arms a lot more at the moment. So smooth and fun but maybe a little too "simple" in my opinion. It feels fast, it feels damn furious but it also feels less and less complex. Best class for new WoW players tho!
what is that guy talking about? I love BFA siegebreaker.
Too many positive feedback, I smell incoming nerf hammer...
On beta they actually need to press 2 key for be 1st dps, they don't care about the nomber of target, and are not burst dependent. #GoodBalance
Still inferior to arms by every measurable metric but hey whatever as long people who just can't get enough fury are happy.
the issue with fury for PVP is still no utility a way to help the team at all which is bad....the play style of fury for pvp is getting better now that we dont take that pointless extra damage (who ever thought of that ideal for blizzard *facepalm*) fury needs a way to support his team in 2s 3s or RBGS...such as arms warrior has Sharping blade a MS strike and Warbanner and Duel which all can HELP his team....fury has Nothing to really help the team other than Rally Cry and Fear which arms has also...
