RIP radiant decree
HOW IS THIS ONE TALENTPOINT?"Armor increased by 20%, Stamina increased by 10% and damage taken from area of effect attacks reduced by 10%." this might be the best defensive talent point in the whole game
What about the "Lightforged blessing" talent in the class tree, are holy and protection paladins getting divine storm too?
I don't main ret but looking at the tree is it just me or does it feel way worse design/fun wise?Like sure there seems to be much less reliance on Consec. placement, but at the cost you lose radiant decree/ wake of ashes resets (which i think is what makes that ability something more than just a big HP generator and iconic). Even exorcism I think with some supporting talents could have made it a more interesting button and woulda been fun.I might be wrong but looking at the tree it seems that the new standouts Ret is getting is core abilities now cleaving onto other targets and divine hammers plus auto attacking crusader strike.
Can't say for sure but looks pretty button-bloaty.
damn they got rid of the talent the doubled the duration of executioners sentence and final reckoning that was on the ptr earlier today, now you have to take executioners will to get longer duration which just doesnt feel that good especially since its the same as live, being replaced by just giving 3 holy power kind of makes it feel meh compared to having the automatic longer duration, but other then that its been a blast trying out so far today at least from a fun perspective
RIP EXORSIM RIP Eye for an EyeWHAT U DOING DEVS? WTF MAN
Prot and Holy getting Divine Storm?
Where's the movement tho...
i think auto bubble on a hit that kills you with healing hands makes sense more than unbound freedom , also the tree looks fun i tested it in ptr but we need 1 last thing any new mobility ability then the class very good , i saw people talking about eye for an eye it is with gcd and not that good let them take it off its garbage in my opinion in both pvp and pve
Not gonna lie, im hating the new ret tree, the rotation is gonna be so much less fun, 100% less burst, zero fun flashy ability procs, just baking in power and cleave into the lame ass generator abilities and bring zero power to the really weak spenders. What most of the %^&*!s commenting on how "bad" ret was were probably people who didnt play the class. It needed better sustain not blowing its burst into complete pieces. And having a hard time to even reach the bottom of the bottom of the right side of the tree. Sorry changes so far and already wanting to reroll classes just on this tree alone. But oh yeah we got some more survivability so amazing and cool.....thats all you drooling neckbeards wanted.
I have been around from the very start of Ret Paladins playing into every single expansion and dealing with the crap that blizzard has tossed at us. Being C tier patch after patch gets very annoying. Especially when people do not want you for keys or a raid spot because we do not bring anything useful to the team or if we do like BREZ what's stopping a better class from being taken with that exact ability. For Dragon Flight I feel they are pushing us the wrong direction lol. I do agree that we had a lot of abilities that all needed to be combo'd together just to reach high on damage. So the removal of some buttons I 100% Agree with. Our single target damage is still taking a hit. I am not saying we should be pumping numbers pushing 180k with PI on damage meters like an Unholy DK. But with such a small window to pump everything using (Hand of Reckoning) <Removed>(Seraphim) and max stacks of (Crusade). The removal of one is going to crush a huge amount of our burst. M+ Yes I can see this being maybe a META spot if the talent tree is to remain how it is. But I don't think AOE was the issue like these changes make it out to be. I would on most fights top DPS for AOE bosses. Survivability seems to be a nice change. So I think they need to focus more on Single Target over AOE. And for the current tree itself. Most of the juicy stuff we cant even reach because of crappy talents being in the way. The Stacking Divine Storm is most likely not going to be taken by a single Paladin and its smack dead in the middle. And Crusading strikes seems like a Nerf. Yes Cool less ability's to press but we had Auto attacks going on in the background and if you check any meter it made up for a ton of our overall Damage. I have had people on the PTR saying that it gives us the ability to press other big DPS Buttons but testing it out I personally felt I was waiting around to press something thus making it a poor choice. So IDK running Sims is what I think we need atm.
