What Class Should You Invest Time Into During Diablo 4 Season 3?

During the recent
Diablo 4 Season 3 Developer Update Livestream
players were given a glimpse of the upcoming
Unique items
,
seasonal Mechanic
, and
quality-of-life improvements
coming in Season of the Construct. However, one of the biggest topics of discussion was the upcoming Class Balance changes and the philosophy behind how these changes will be handled in the future. As Blizzard said during the Livestream - stonks are up, so let's take a look at some buffs and nerfs!
Diablo 4 Season 3 Overview Season of the Construct Launch
Please note that these preliminary assessments are based solely on what was shared as a part of the recent
Diablo 4 Season 3 Developer Update Livestream
, and much of this can change once Season of the Construct
Patch Notes go live on January 19th
.
Barbarian
Buy
Carica
is receiving a damage buff. This is good since players may want to use more movement abilities in
Vaults
.
Several Key Passives, such as
Arsenale Ambulante
will be receiving buffs. This could shake up the meta to allow more versatility.
Sell
Shouts will be adjusted to make them less of a requirement. This could also allow for more versatility in Barbarian builds, but keep a close eye on this, as Blizzard may nerf these Skills too far.
will have a lower proc chance, which will overall nerf
HotA Barb
.
Overall Outlook: Bullish
Although Shouts may be less effective, Barbarians appear to be mostly evading the nerf hammer.
Sorcerer
Buy
Lancia Fulminante
will now cause the Vulnerable status effect upon Critically Striking an enemy.
Evocatore Elementale
will be buffed, which could be useful in the Vaults and against
Malphas
.
Meteora
is receiving an update to compliment the new Unique item - Starfall Coronet.
Sell
The developers have stated that
Palla Fulminante
is actually bugged. So although many of us had a great time with this build in Season of Blood, we should not expect the same level of power during Season of the Construct.
Overall Outlook: Bullish
While
Palla Fulminante
may be missed, the developers are buffing many other Skills to give Sorc players additional build options.
Rogue
Buy
Ranged abilities, such as
Tiro Penetrante
will be receiving a buff.
The Key Passive
Precisione
will be reworked to increase parity with other options.
Several Unique items will be receiving updates, including
Uragano
,
Cacciatore Celeste
, and
Corno d'Aquila
.
Sell
The developers have stated that the additional
Combo Points
from
Volontà di Tibault
was a bug that will be squashed in Season 3.
The interactions between
Lame Serpeggianti
and
Infusione del Veleno
will also be fixed, nerfing the damage of many melee Rogues.
Overall Outlook: Bearish
Melee Rogue is taking many hits in Season of the Construct. It might finally be time to put down the swords and pick up a Bow.
Druid
Buy
Spirit Boons will be receiving buffs, which could open up some build diversity.
Idrofobia
will be receiving some upgrades, including a new Legendary Aspect.

will be buffed to compliment the new Unique item - Unsung Ascentic's Wraps.
Sell
Towards the end of Season of Blood, it was discovered that

was bugged and was dealing more damage than intended. This bug will be fixed as a part of Season 3.
Overall Outlook: Bullish
Actually Wolfish. Aside from the
Aspetto della Bestia Offuscata
bug fix, Druids seem to be getting some pretty fun and interesting upgrades.
Necromancer
Buy
Blood and Iron Golem attacks will now deal cleave damage.
Spirito d'Ossa
will be getting an upgrade with a redesign of
Aspetto della Maledizione Bubbonica
.
Sell
You can no longer trap friendly players within
Prigione d'Ossa
.
Overall Outlook: Neutral
Necromancers received the fewest updates as a part of the
Developer Update Livestream
, so we'll need to see the patch notes before making an assessment.
